Re: Couplings
I imagine the next step is to google the service sheet for your new GF locomotive and see if you can find the part number for the original coupler.
Do you have a part number or more details or photos of the locomotive?

Re: Couplings
In america Bachmann have their own version of the Microtrains (MT) coupler called E-z mate. They make an e-z mate coupler that will directly replace a US bachmann rapido coupler but I don't know if they fit Graham farish. You can hook an e-z mate to an MT but it's better to try to keep to all the sa...

A good point. Don't give up fishing though.Journeyman wrote:if I wasn’t doing this I’d just be out fishing!
I mean because fishing is good, not like "don't give up your day job"

Re: Adding Droppers to Points.
Is this point worth saving? When I was modelling German N scale (40 years ago) I thought that Lima points were the spawn of the devil. Maybe newer HO scale points are better but they don't look it.

Re: Adding Droppers to Points.
Hi Dave,
check the points with a multimeter. Some brands don't isolate the branches in the first place, so you might not need to.Journeyman wrote:Although they seem to have better blade contacts than the Hornby I can’t see an easy way of bypassing the contacts with droppers.

Re: slow moving trains all of a sudden
Refer to the manual.
Page 46 and 47 describe how to set option switches to,
1. clear all addresses and MU information (opsw 36) or
2. reset the unit to default settings (opsw 39).

Re: ikea desk as a base for modular N gauge layout?
Legs are detachable on just 3 screws each. The table legs are great. I used the extendable legs on a previous layout. ikealeg01.jpg Would be easy to assemble / disassemble. But the table tops are basically a very fat piece of cardboard, you can't take them apart and put them back together many time...

The nameboard in the bottom pic. reads .... DOBELL...& Compy. - I think it is on the roof of the building - not on the track.... You can see the top of the Barton & coy wagon in the lower left quadrant of the photo. I'm guessing Charlflo has moved to greener pastures since nobody was able t...
