Re: Andrew's Layout
Stunning work. A hugely inspiration piece of modelling. In fact, if I didn't think that would be rude I would contact a magazine and tell them they should feature this as this is probably the best 00 Layout I have ever seen! Everything oozes quality and skill and makes me want to try and attempt som...

Re: Working power station / ballast working
I'd imagine It would be relatively simple to add a small servo and a button cell battery to one of the Farish hoppers And hook it up to DCC with a cheapo decoder so that the doors automatically open - but you'd need to either use a Decoder for each one or leave them permanently coupled and model the...

Re: Finally A Plan in N
Right, Updated the Plan to include a throug station and a Few scenery detail that I had fleshed out but weren't yet on the plan. There is a large warehouse and an office building, plus a portakabin. I will also add more details, ut these are not on the plan. You can just about see the backscene. I h...

Forget that, It turn out all kind of coal hopper unload through the floor. Some aggregates wagons are unloade by a 'Tippler', though I don't know what this is.

Re: Finally A Plan in N
Yep, a good long scenic run along the front, with a modern level crossing in the middle area. I'm going to hopefully put a modern-style fence round the whole area, with a gate for the Track and another for road vehicles. Then i'm planning on a concrete section across the yard entrace and a road lead...

Re: Torside & Bucksbridge Railway - My garage in N
Looks great! Have you considered DCC for operation? With that much running space it makes sense to use DCC, as the number of train you can run at once is staggering, and I can imagine a slower freight pausing in a loop while and express thunders past. of course, this is difficult to do in DC but rea...

Its a Midlands freight yard, with trains from all over the country stopping by. The idea is that they run into the headshunt, then reverse their ...

My subscription started with the august issue! The Cramdin yard article was the one I missed!
I must now go and apologise profusely for failing to worship this layout.

Looks excellent bnp - i've been following this thread with interest from the start.
Are you considering building some ngs kits? Or perhaps some more TEA's? A longer length would look excellent.

Hi IP,
This is the link to the thread, although I have gained more space so i'm not actually modelling it any more. Feel free to use it for inspiration though, its based on a 00 plan by Anthony new, simplified a little and modified.
