Dan

Amazing stuff - I was really surprised just how much track you've managed to fit in and I just can't believe it's O gauge! It looks really good, and glad to see the third incarnation coming along well.

All the best

Re: Starlingford - Birthday & The Stash, pg 109

Those teaks look fantastic, almost enough to make me want to go back to LNER! You've certainly hit the (very expensive) jackpot this year with Hornby. Lovely stuff. That Ivatt is an ugly mug though... Stuart, put your glasses back on!

Cheers

Hi Gavin

Love the birthday stash and very pleased to see you landed some trouts ;) The engineering train is fantastic and looks great trundling round the tracks.

Keep up the good work

Great little video Matt. I do like Baxter - you've done a superb job capturing him, and scuttling round the layout is just spot on.

Am off to Wycrail on Saturday - you going?

Hi Gavin Sorry to hear about your flu - I sympathise. Man-flu (I mean flu...) is terrible and I know how you feel having just had a week off  Good see some green engines whizzing about, though shame they are the wrong colour  Glad to hear you've joined a club and got proactive with a few ...

Re: Mighty's 00 Loft Layout - cessation of services

Gareth You can pick up an LSWR/SR T9 Greyhound in Southern Railway Black, and next year Bachmann are bringing out their SECR/SR Wainwright C Class, also in Southern Black. Kernow Model Rail are doing two limited edition OO Gauge Southern models, also in black - they are the Adams LSWR/SR O2 class, a...

Re: The Bridge - The Yeoveney and Colnbridge Railway.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Stu - I sympathise greatly. Best of luck turning that corner and I hope you can delve back into what is one of my favourite layouts and find a little bit of happiness to spark up from tinkering around the Bridge.

All the best

Re: Starlingford - Picture Perfect, pg 103

Hi Gavin Superb superb updates. I'd not visited in a while, so I've a fair bit of catching up to do, but lovely to see the layout progressing and it's nice to see your love of military modelling combining with the railway. Very interested to hear about the news of your club layout you are getting in...

Mighty, Mighty, wherefore art thou, Mighty? Yonder lies an N-class mogul Yet thy silence means the mind doth boggle A Southern loco for thou to ogle - Thou sayest naught? Art thou alrighty? Matt, I've just caught up with this. What a lovely result, and it runs so smoothly as well. I'm very impressed indeed, and I look forward to it being crewed and hauling some short freight trains around.

JIm The quality of your work is truly outstanding. I'm a steam fan personally, but this work and the attention to detail is some of the best I've ever seen. Urban modelling at its best. Have you any plans for exhibiting this model? I'd love to see it 'in the flesh' so to speak. Kind regards Chris

Re: Seamoss Trees.

I recently purchased a 'forest in a box' from International Models - I've no link to them other than as a satisfied customer. This is the ten step method I used: 1.) Select the 'tree' looking seamoss cuttings. Any offcuts or scraps can be used for hedging. 2.) Trim to the shape that you want the tre...

Re: southern station building

i am building a southern based layout in 00 and am stuck on what to do for a station building any ideas????? nest As Terrier points out, the Wills kit is probably the best kit-built option out there. Once completed, it looks good, but it is quite tricky, and you'll need to set aside a bit of time t...

Re: Mighty's 00 Loft Layout - Video and trees

Hi, I've not looked at this thread for a while and I've certainly missed a lot! I'm repeating others but you've done a fine job on the scenery. Thats one of the 'best' tunnel entrance scenes I've seen - anywhere. I'm selling my 6x4 and looking to 're-invest' approx £150 quid in my new 'end to end' ...
