Re: Lemington docks.... end to end

Perhaps I can be corrected but I haven't been able to find any information on LNER and LMS lines really crossing over. Although I love your premise, lets go with that! Josh Look at South Leith Dock or Granton (Edinburgh). http://www.edinphoto.org.uk/1_edin_t_map/1_edinburgh_transport_maps_-_0_railw...

Locomotives arriving 'fast and furious'. :D

The 812 looks good

It appears to be a LNER/LMS joint Docks area. (Yeah)

An interesting Company. I have a model of a 45t crane from them. I could read the makers name okay. It is on the box.

Josh. What kind of scene are you looking to portray?

Here is a 'modern' scene with a canal boat

Re: Llwyndrissi Halt.

You are kind. My modelling is a little crude but it works for me. Consistency is key. I do like the challenge of making all I can myself if I can, just to see if I can do it. And that is what you like doing. We are all our biggest critic. So long as you do not 'beat yourself up' about it. Keep it f...

You do yourself a great injustice. You put many of us to shame with your modelling.

Give me the old neglected weed choked jungle of yesteryear, anyday! Yes! Yes! Yes! Being on a train between Ladybank and Newburgh, the branches of trees 'smacking' the carriages as we passed. Locomotive 34092 'City of Wells' shrouded in tarpaulins at Keighley & Worth Valley Railway as she...

Re: Llwyndrissi Halt.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch would be a nice name for the locomotive. Seriously. I bought my nameplates from Narrow Planet (no affiliation. Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street on a 1914/1919 theme

You have to remember that there have been 2 big changes to docks over the last 40-50 years, ----- I totally agree, Bufferstop. I just try to model things to what I have seen and not to what I thought I saw. Life has never been perfect and I am trying to show that. I have made many mistakes (and con...

Re: Steam Trains to Sovereign Street on a 1914/1919 theme

Some fantastic shots! I like the horse and cart, even if it is too big. Sometimes playing is more about the scene than the scale. One question about clarence dock is the dockside looks quite dark and grimey, was this typical of docksides or just how you have modelled it? Most dockside layouts you s...
