Re: Daisy Wanted.

Sorry, but I cannot help you. I might have the same challenge later on my layout. My two Granddaughters' leave Thomas and Percy in the toybox, only to play with Mavis the Diesel and the steam engine. I just hope they do not expect to run them on my layout. SAM_1021.JPG The next step of their develop...

Re: Another day when the timetable goes awry.

My two Granddaughters’ play with the ‘Pooh Bear train set on the lounge floor. (See MY train set thread in this section). When they are older I won...

Re: Concepts of Model Railway Design.

Like others when I embarked on building 'Glencairn' layout, I wanted to see trains run through the landscape. The first layout was (and still is) fiddle yard to station. As I deliberately did not have a 'run-round' in the station to release locomotives, a small locomotive shed is required. I t is re...

Re: Sovereign Street Changes.

Whilst on Tyneside yesterday, I called into Pooleys Puffers, (no affiliation apart from being a happy customer). On one of the shelves was part of the Metcalfe Brewery; ready made. As I was going to buy the kit to make into warehouses the ready made article was purchased. Now it is a case of shuffli...
