Looking good, heda. I love running my 0.4.0 locos. They give me great joy. A little relief from the more serious diesel loco running.

Re: Clarence Dock, Leeds

I've always hankered after a dock railway scene and enjoy seeing such layouts at exhibitions - there's so much scope for all manner of things being included. Will be following with interest. Likewise, Ex-Pat. I have always wanted a port or dock on a layout. With both Crown Point and Clarence Dock n...

Re: Clarence Dock, Leeds

The plan for 'Clarence Dock' is to be an extension to Steam Trains to Sovereign Street. In reality Clarence Dock is only a few miles from Crown Point, so on the model layout trains will run to and from both places. Apparently there was a crane at the dock for loading and unloading. I shall try and f...

Re: Clarence Dock, Leeds

The initial template to see where and how the dock area would look like. The tapering is to ensure the door will still close. :)

Clarence Dock, Leeds

An idea that has been 'floating around my mind' for some time. Building a small dock area. Clarence Dock, Leeds The dock was constructed for boats using the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the Aire and Calder Navigation to tranship goods and commodities from Leeds city centre in 1843. It was primarily...

Re: Diesels at Crown Point and Sovereign St.

I used to have relatives up in that area near Shotley Bridge, Ebchester. Went up to visit regularly when I was a kid. Used to go to Consett and look at the steel works which is now long since gone. Always remember the red dust that used to be everywhere from the steel works. Pete The red dust! The ...
