Re: St.Oval - A scenic Set Track Oval

Oh dear, what a rubbish video, again.
One day I may learn how to pan more slowly.

Still it shows some chimneys in a front garden, not
happy with them so more to make.

Re: Layout Thoughts

It all depends on what you want to do. Are you interested in the building of a scenic piece of countryside with the odd train running through, or is all you want to do is run trains round and around. I know which I find boring. I'd be happy enough with a single line oval, but with the space you have...

Another good result, and at that price worth it.
Cleaning the wheel faces shouldn't be too difficult.

Re: St.Oval - A scenic Set Track Oval

Another £28 worth of trees, but hardly touched the surface. Looking at these I think another 6-10 larger trees needed. Being a visual Art form I'll be trying several different places for most, in particular another set of Woodland Scenics small to somehow get growing on the far side of the gorge. No...

Re: Peco ST5&6 points insulated joiners

You've had the info from Flashbang and as he says it's preferable to use insulated rail joiners on the two rails that go into the 'V' It is not an absolute essential, BUT I didn't use them on my first '00' layout and while it was fine for the diesel traction it was originally built for I found that ...

Re: High Peak Junction N Gauge

Hi LukeB,

I love the shape, so difficult to get away from the oblong, or square.
I do appreciate the ability of 'N' gaugers, I did try once and gave up.

Re: St.Oval - A scenic Set Track Oval

TimberSurf, Never one to hurry ......... Yesterday morning I decided to close the garage door and take a couple of photographs of the bridge (compressed viaduct !) At least all the capping stones are on, still need a clean up with wet-n-dry before painting. Must spend some time working out exactly w...

Re: St.Oval - A scenic Set Track Oval

Yup glencairn, nature really doesn't like uniformity !! One job I've been putting off for years. Capping, or coping stones to the bridge/viaduct parapet walls. Originally I'd intended cutting strips off large plastic sheets, but too time consuming and I really didn't fancy doing it. On this re-start...

Re: St.Oval - A scenic Set Track Oval

Working in an unheated garage makes progress rather slow. Watered down PVA used for both grass and grave paths needs something approaching 48 hours to safely set hard. The rear of this plot done before, now today the front, no further work here until Saturday. https://i.ibb.co/b1xHj8N/IMG-2962.jpg T...
