Re: End of the line. latest p7

Hi Hammy! I've always admired your talent for creating little scenes! Smashing stuff mate, looks to me like the Scalescenes stuff takes alot more patience than a Metcalfe kit for instance but the results are great! Keep it up mate, regarding the electrofrog points, i chickened out and have used insu...

Re: Model repair

Hello dushlan, welcome to the forum! , it would help to know what loco it is bud, anyhow, there's usually just a tiny bolt with a slot for a screwdriver underneath if it's a steam loco front bogie truck, you may be better off asking in a different section of the forum though, for a better res...

Re: Please help with Hornby Schools detail parts

Hi Thomas! I have 'Charterhouse' too but haven't even taken it out of the box or run it yet, (Transit brackets are still in place!) however, as you may know it says minimum radius of 438mm (2nd radius) on the box and in the instruction leaflet but i presume that is without the extras added, i've sco...

Re: Hornby Turntable DCC hints and tips

Just wondering if i could get this moved to the website articles section please? A couple of members have enquired about this particular subject since i posted it and i keep posting the link for them, not that i mind but i thought maybe it would be of use in the articles section instead so it's easi...

Re: Stumpy's loft.

Thanks T&C! I think it could've been slightly better really, i'm not 100% happy i must admit but there's two coats of primer and four coats of top coat (LT Red) applied by brush and it's nice and shiny but not perfect by a very long way!! Still, i could probably count the amount of kits i've bui...

Re: Stumpy's loft.

Hi Mike! Thanks mate, they didn't take anything from inside, i don't think there was any particular motive...just mindless vandalism!! , there's not much in there at the moment as i'm doing a bit of renovating inside at the moment, replacing some damp timber and putting new wallboard in, (Man...

Re: Crimple Beck Station

Wotcha! Me again! :D , Just an idea for the garden for the cottage, i haven't actually tried it yet but i was thinking about using scouring pads for modelling allotments or lawns and flat areas of grass, like these, the missus bought them for me bless her! http://i397.photobucket.com/albums/pp58/Stu...

Re: Crimple Beck Station

Hi dude! :D , Nice to see a bit of progress there mate, i shouldn't think the damage would affect train running too much, just a couple of extra 'clickety clacks' as the train runs over them! I found using a small hand drill to pre-drill the holes for the track pins makes a huge difference, here's a...

Re: Wordsworth Begins

Smashing stuff Mike! :D , Looking forward to seeing that loco shed area develop, there's just so much going on with that layout! I wish i had planned mine a bit better instead of having to squeeze things in here and there, like a loco and goods yard etc! You seem to have allowed plenty of space for ...

Re: Crimple Beck Station

That's a nice big space to 'play' in! I also like the way the incline blends in with the rest of the layout and is very gradual, nicely executed! looks like there's going to be plenty of space for scenery and buildings etc, that's something i wish i had thought about more on my layout as it's going ...
