Re: Captain Baxter and Bluebell.

I think your best bet is buy what you can and repaint/rename/renumber it.

What's wrong with using the Graham Farish chassis?

Your NG layout has had an invite? Good skills. Hope it's not too hard getting it on the plane.

Re: Ffestiniog, Talyllyn/Corris, or all of the above.

For a cheap way of getting a loco kit, which you can modify so it looks fairly similar to Duke / Lady, try the Dapol "Pug " plastic kit.

It's a cheap model and I dare say where most OO9 modellerss start. Google OO9 pugbash for examples

Re: Worlsey Works Ffestiniog coach 14.

We were discussing the coaches I should get and I will ONLY start with the easy one and THEN move on to the more complicated stuff I just need a pic of the parts that coach 14 comes with so I'll know whether or not to get it first. This is getting repetitive. Are you refusing to take note of our ad...

Re: Worlsey Works Ffestiniog coach 14.

Two things, one I have NO money and my grandpa is making me pay for my railway modelling so there's a bust and two I need a company that sells coach 14. I think these two may be mutually exclusive - you need to tailor the stock you want to buy by your limited budget! Although you say you need it. I...

Re: Worlsey Works Ffestiniog coach 14.

I'd advise leaving Worsley scratch aid parts for now, and concentrate on the kits you have already got.

Let me know how the repalcement roof and floor go

Re: Rodney Stenning Sir Haydn.

Sadly I accidentally lost/threw away the roof piece and I screwed up the floor piece so I'm getting a new brakevan. Don't waste your money! Could you make a new floor out of Evergreen styrene sheet? Is it just a rectangle or did it include the axle boxes for the wheelsets? Roof is simple too. Use a...

I'd highly recommend joining that local model railway club. You'd be with like minded individuals, and will pick up a few skills from them easily.

By the way, what does "-_-. mean?

Re: West Lakeside Railway.

I have an idea for chassis, handrails, and tender chassis for Prince; I need to also have to get the OO9 Princess/Welsh Pony and put them on it. I'm also getting some stock from the Ffestiniog, the Meridian Models Penhryn Quarry Railway workman's coach 3-pack, and the Rodney Stenning ex-Corris brak...

Re: West Lakeside Railway.

Why not forget the steam locos for now, and work on a track plan for the layout? There are various free downloadable Track CAD softwares about for this - search the forum to see what others use.

'Ello. Can't sleep - too excited about Krauss-Helmholtz trucks and 0-8-0 tankies... It takes all sorts. A good start is http://www.festshop.co.uk Click "Product Overview" button and then "009 Model Railways" Most of which are on: http://www.langleymodels.co.uk/acatalog/Shop_Front...
