Re: What is this wagon?

They were also done as a three wagon pack in a lightly "weathered" finish and different running numbers. The code was 38-340

Re: BASINGSTOKE 1958-67 OO LAYOUT - INTRO, PLANS, Baseboards & Expos

Given the nature of this and your other posts, would these not be better suited to the "Layouts under construction" forum section rather than model railway photography?

Re: 1954 British Film Institute screening A.4 "Silver Fox" film Elizabethan Express

I've seen this movie several times on YouTube and on DVD. The footage is very impressive, but some of the commentary is corny.

You could also look at the Wills Finecast kit if you need a double track crossing

Re: Hornby make attempt at World Domination

I haven't been able to see the full list yet but for me the 0-6-0 Peckett in NCB livery is a must have. Not only will it fit in with a shunting puzzle layout I've been planning, but it was based not far from me.

Re: 4 wheel locos stalling on set track points

I've been running my Andrew Barclay under DC control and have experienced very little trouble with stalling on points even at very slow speed. I use standard Hornby points and any issues I have had all stem from less than pristine rails rather than the plastic frogs.
