You could also look at the Wills Finecast kit if you need a double track crossing

Re: Hornby make attempt at World Domination

I haven't been able to see the full list yet but for me the 0-6-0 Peckett in NCB livery is a must have. Not only will it fit in with a shunting puzzle layout I've been planning, but it was based not far from me.

Re: 4 wheel locos stalling on set track points

I've been running my Andrew Barclay under DC control and have experienced very little trouble with stalling on points even at very slow speed. I use standard Hornby points and any issues I have had all stem from less than pristine rails rather than the plastic frogs.

Re: Peco uncouplers

One version is designed for Peco track and one is for Hornby, as the sleeper spacing is slightly different. They do work reasonably OK, but as with all similar types, they can cause unintended uncoupling.

Re: Pocketbond Classix

The bodies are riveted on so you would have to drill off the head. To refit you'll have to use glue or drill and tap the remainder of the rivet to take screws, as per some Matchbox restorations I've seen on YouTube.

Re: Railroad range

I use several of the Railroad Teaks on my layout, some new some second hand. All of the coaches have been treated with a wood stain/varnish to try and improve their appearance. The interiors have also been painted. http://i.imgur.com/XimneKO.jpg The one at the rear is as they come, middle has been t...
