Foldable Workbench

Hi all, My stepdad just bought a "Centipede Sawhorse", a foldable workbench in a bag, essentially. When he told me about it I thought nothing much of it, but with work ongoing at the West Lulworth railway having an extension on the house, the workbench in the shed is a little full at the m...

Re: 3D Printing –Met Chesham Coaches, 4mm/OO, GN Saloon.

Several? they only ran in sets of 3 lol. Yes indeed the Heljan Bo-Bo is not far off, November / December this year... must say I am tempted but have to wait on the price to decide. I am glad you like them, not sold any yet... even with Shapeways offering 15% off at the moment... Just test printing ...

Re: Trwyn-y-Diafol O-16.5

Didn't realise this was a photography forum ;) but I wouldn't say the light is the problem. Bearing in mind the camera used is just a point and shoot, and whilst you can get pretty good images, generally better depth of field comes from something more controllable with a dedicated lens and manual se...

Re: West Lulworth in O - Signalling (and some more stuff!) P

A quick, long overdue update. Some trains running today, including Q1 33001 (fresh from a repaint in her new fictitious post-war livery). The B4 is a Zero Zephers model, and the Queen Mary is indeed Laurie Griffen

Re: Help finding a B4

ABS Zero Zephyrs ceased trading in 2011, and as a result no-one makes a B4 now. So your best bet is a ready built one or a kit on eBay.

Lovely job. Pretty simple yet effective little kits the Cambrian's! Hopefully you have a Dance Hall in the pipeline?

Re: What has Wonder Rail been up to this week? H Class - Pg1

Further to the Fox transfers issue, bought some more, albeit 4mm ones for my OO Works H, and this is how it turned out: https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/32424_1633031826835805_1094892889_n.jpg Some background, the locomotive was bought a couple of years ago for Whimsey Hill and...

Re: Wonder Rail Works - Slimrails L&B Manning Wardle O16.5

Nice look forward to that, thought you sold it... should look good in that livery. No, no. I wasn't really happy with it in BR Black, I didn't think OO Works did a great job on it, so I kept it as a bit of a project to add new pickups etc. Menawhile, had a reply from Fox who merely said, and I quot...

Well ashamedly, Fox have yet to reply to my contact, however we will see how the 4mm versions come out when I put transfers onto the OO Works H!

Re: Wonder Rail Works - Slimrails L&B Manning Wardle O16.5

Sorry for being harsh, and i know your still adjusting to the making of transfers but you need to blend them in with the paint work.... or that happens. On the contrary! Criticism is good, no matter how harsh in this game, it is helpful to learn and progress, especially with the help given on DIY t...

Further progress: after having airbrushed the body, hand-painted the smaller parts such as the brass and the headstocks, the loco was ready to receive transfers which were supplied by Fox. https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/425729_1630761820396139_250699563_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sp...

Re: Tom92240's Workbench - 7mm LMS Dining Car - Page 1

Completely forgot about this thread! Stanier: Wrong livery i'm afraid! Sleeper: JLTRT is Just Like the Real Thing, as Stanier already mentioned. On this occasion, the carriage body was sprayed with a can, though I usually use airbrush, and the roof was airbrushed. Further to that, some people added ...
