Re: Oldcastle (western reigon 1930 - 1980) All change!!!

Hello Everyone, thought an update on Oldcastle is well overdue, well there isn't much to update really, I haven't made any progress on re bulding the baseboards yet ( due to starting a job, leaving said job (after 3 days..... no fault on My part), and compleating the ECDL course), but that should ch...

Re: Hornby 14XX 1444 (R.3027)

I have a 14XX (R2778 4869 in shirtbutton livery) I havent carried out any mechamical modifications to My loco and it ran with no problems on my old layout, I had to paint the chimney black when I first got the loco as it was left unpainted, the only other thing I've done is to paint the smokebox han...

Re: Strange 9F

they fitted a Giesl Ejector to one of the battle of britain Class loco's (they did a feature in the Hornby magazine a few years ago to covert a normal BoB to look like the converted BoB)

Hope this helps

Re: REVIEW- Hornby Railroad County

to be historically accurate, you wouldn't have seen any County's pre war ( F W Hawksworth design from 1942), but it's your own personal preference to what you run on your layout,

Hope this helps

Pannier09 wrote:Another note have Hornby or Bachmann released 34067 Tangmere?
Tangmere is listed in the 2003 hornby catalouge (R2221), you might be able to pick on up on EBay, but as it is 8 years since it was released,it might be harder to find one,

Hope this helps

Re: Mainline trains on London underground

I know they use Class 66 on some of the maintanance trains as the last time they were replacing track, I saw a 66 in Ruislip station,

also I've seen a Metronet liveried 66 at West Ruislip with a balast train waiting to go into Ruislip Gardens Depot

Hope This Helps

I have three Bachmann Loco's (Collett's Goods, Pannier and 4575 prarie), And appart from a coupling height issue with the prarie, I have had no issues with build quality, the prairie was a bit of a temprimental runner straight out the box, but once it had been run in has been a very smooth runner, t...
