Re: Disruption to services caused by....

MML don't exist any more and never ran from New Street, so it must have been a ghost train! On a more serious note, NR run New Street and are the ones wearing blue HV vests, if there were none on the platform you'd find them on the concourse and in the Customer Info Booth, also on the concourse. Di...

Re: Disruption to services caused by....

I was trying to get back from birmingham when it snowed badly a few weeks ago. The main issue we all had was not that our train was only called 30mins late and was meant to be standing on a platform with another train on it. It was the lack of staff available to talk to to actually tell us what was ...

a pleasure to read this thread, a really neat and fun to use layout, you make your progress look effortless. Your writing style is bang on as well, light and humorous yet informative.

senseless, absolutely senseless. Some people just dont understand the possible consequences of their actions, thankfully no deaths occurred. I hope the network rail reward offer brings forward some useful leads. These people deserve a custodial sentence if over 18... if under then possibly a short s...

Re: the ghost of nimbus past

I have never seen anything on the tube or network rail but I did used to work late in central london, invariably meant catching very late weeknight tubes home. If I had to change from edware to highbarnet branches @ camden town station I was invariably alone in the connecting stairs & passages (...

Re: Tornado to the rescue

I'm sorry, I disagree alot with that. They do have aircon, and they're quite quiet (but if you went on a steam charter, you'd want to be able to hear the engine, and with thhings like voyagers your ears go pop :x ) and I've seen a crash of a train with 3 coachs at 100mph the engine was an instant w...

Re: The Railway Press and Tornado

perhaps they are just relishing the opportunity to review steam tours hauled by a local which was built less that 50 years ago. I'm sure it'll ease of in a year or two.

Re: Tornado to the rescue

Old coaches may be more comfortable with more spacious seating, then again I would rather have aircon, reduced noise and not having my carriage collapse like tissue paper around me in a crash. Old & simple isn't always good, I believe that Mark I's also have a tendency of splitting away from the...

I really do like your layout alot, alot to play with and your kit building\scenery are really good.

That hill side and canal scene will look amazing when finished off, proper job :)
