Respraying a mk1

All, I brought a cheap mk1 BSK in Intercity a while ago, with the plan to respray it into engineering yellow as a mess coach, so it should be a relatively simple first re-spray project. I have an airbrush, I have railmatch yellow, and I have some Tamiya Primer... From reading I've seen its best to s...

Re: First Layout since 1984

Hi Steve, Just came across your thread and saw your bit about 3rd rail.. I have a 3rd rail layout so might be able to offer a little help from my experience.. The "recommended" way by Peco to fit third rail is to drill each sleeper where your 3rd rail chair (Peco IL-120) will sit. The Peco...

Re: Ten commandments bass kit.. HELP!

Brilliant, thanks Phil. Do you know if it's worth using a heat gun as well, would it make it easier to bend?

Ten commandments bass kit.. HELP!

Merry christmas all, I have an etched brass kit from 10T, the station waiting room/bus shelter one. I haven't made an etched brass kit before and was wondering the best way to bend it all into shape? I have tried initially bending along the 'score' lines using needle nose pliers but this doesn't see...

Re: Spearestone, Kent coast in N

Great layout, love the arcing effect. But 3rd railing in N gauge, you must be mad!! Doing 3rd rail in OO was by far one of the worst jobs on my layout, I've got some details on my thread of how I did my 3rd rail if its any use to you.. http://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php...
