Thank you for all that information. I have that article by Paul Chetter in fact but wanted to try and achieve the impossible and minimise the cutting of the cab as I have the open door WD version. In addition I often ride on a real 48DS at Yeovil Railway Centre.

Dapol or Hornby Terrier parts
Hello everybody. I am currently seeking connecting rods and screws for 3 chassis that I am making up from parts. I also require body weights and motors. Interested in all Dapol/Hornby Terrier spares or even complete non runner or broken locos. Thank you for reading my post

Very nice Geoff. Mine has a Zimo MX617 and I'm waiting on a MX648 (sound decoder) to come. I put in a Lais stay alive unit to ensure there would be no hiccups with spots of dirt etc. I also fitted lights which add to it. These little loco's really are great runners and you get a spare wagon to boot...
