Dapol platform Kiosk C018

Hi
I need a Dapol curved end platform kiosk, ideally in unassembled kit form or as a ready built item. But it must be in good condition and ideally include all advertising items.
Reasonable price paid, plus your P & P costs.
This is the one needed...

Re: How much space is required.

As suggested, in OO, if you have an aircraft hanger or disused barn then even with compression its going to take a huge amount of space! There are three left hand curved crossover points on the main line shown in the plan plus a huge amount of sidings!

Re: stolen locomotives

Hi
If the items were stolen by the "Tradesperson" who is obviously known to your son, then it should be the Police that investigate and possibly charge the trades person.

But I really hope he gets them back ASAP.

Re: Point extension adaptors

Hi As you already have the GM - PM20 motor, then I would use a piece of steel wire or narrow plastic/brass strip to connect between the point motors drive and the points moving tie bars outer end. You will need a means of attaching the strip to the point motors drive bar, here possibly a small bolt ...

Re: DCC Wiring question…..

Hi Understand now :D There is no reason at all why "Jumper wires" (or linking wires) can't be used to link one rail to another. Just ensure that each jumper wire connects to the correct rails. I personally would still consider running a Sub Bus pair of wires on the surface or use Copper Ta...

Re: DCC Wiring question…..

Hi
Sorry what do you mean by "Crossover wires"?

If you cant get underneath consider surface wiring or using copper self adhesive tape as the sub bus? Example... https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1954117275 There are many other suppliers, look under Dolls House lighting copper tape

Re: DCC Wiring question…..

The Gaugemaster RLM has the two Yellow wires as the output and these MUST connect to the Reverse Loops rails inside the IRJs. The two yellow wires can be connected to a suitable sub bus pair of wires and then that sub bus runs around under the reverse loop rails area and droppers tap off this to the...

Re: DCC Wiring question…..more help!

Re: DCC trains

Hi
If its any help, my Bachmann class 66 has working front and rear light plus cab lights.
Therefore I can see no reason why all other Bachmann 66 locos recently produced wouldn't/shouldn't be the same?

Re: Accessory Controller

I'm not saying they don't exist but I have yet to see a laptop charger that has anything other than a single coaxial connector, the "clever charging bits" being the first thing connected to the laptops input socket. <SNIP> I agree. The vast majority of laptop style power supply units (PSU...

Re: Accessory Controller

Note Not all laptop PSU will do! :o Some have and need a third or fourth connection to monitor the laptops battery! So a little care is needed when choosing one! Additionally, the CDU must have an Input voltage rating above the PSU output voltage. BTW.... You DO NOT necessarily need a 4.0Amp PSU whe...

This is a typical 2 pin micro connector. (Other suppliers available of course!) https://www.expressmodels.co.uk/catalogue/micro-connectors/2-pin-micro-connector-detail You can superglue one connector to one items underside and allow the other mating connector to simply plug into the fixed one, or al...

Re: Accessory Controller

Hi. The Gaugemaster cased GMC-M1 is a dual output ready built power supply offering 2 x 16volt AC outputs each rated at 1.0Amp. GM price is listed as being £62.50 - Expensive! It can, like most GM products, be obtained cheaper from other GM retailers. One of its 16v AC outputs is capable of operatin...

Re: DCC Wiring question…..

Hi I believe?? GM prodigy ARM instructions are referring to that the point has been modified to remove any self isolation and both directions from the point to the IRJs are always live. If that assumption is correct, then installing the feed pair to the RLM input is correct, as the feed is always li...
