Re: Kens Layout - No Place

The station is looking magnificent and there are some brilliant improvements to be seen. Your MPD/Shed area is coming to life now. Perhaps grub it up a little? You know... oil spills and the like. Whatever you're happy with is great, so keep up the good work. :D

Re: Noob With new Layout in N

That residential/industrial area is going to give this layout some real character. Can just picture it now, with little people running around with crates, lorries, wheelbarrows, beer kegs etc. The work you've done with the Scalescenes sheets is brilliant. I'm going to be keeping an eye on this one. ...

Don't know if anyone else has watched it but this shot reminds me of when Sir Handel raced George the steam roller on Thomas the Tank Engine. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj29/Clifton009_2007/Scenery/LlancliftonRoad.jpg http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/2273/steamrollerar7.jpg Once agai...

Re: Oakbury - OO and now OO9 to be added

OK. After being inspired by the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, Clifton and Blaqkaudio I've decided to add a bit of OO9 to the layout. "Whereabout's will you fit this in the grand plan?" I hear you ask. Well, in the siding in this picture will be the single track station with a buffer at...

Re: My 6x4 layout. more than just a trackmat

Fantastic layout. I can really feel as though I'm a part of this rural little town when I look at your pictures. The use of the flyover really makes the railway a part of the town. You've proven this by creating a real sense of activity on the platforms. Keep up the brill work. Two thumbs up. :D

Re: Oakbury - OO In me Shed!

Thanks, Dave. I had an inkling they were to carry cables along the line. Regarding the pic, what do you think, Dave? A contender for the November challenge maybe?

Re: Oakbury - OO In me Shed!

Thanks Lewis and Tim for the comments. Much appreciated. The Metcalfe kit is on stand by for the minute. Can't seem to find time to build the rest. Much too busy planning the layout and painting rails ready for wiring and eventually ballasting. :D The siding next to the mainline is probably g...

Re: Fugloss cutting - Lmsrail's N gauge layout

Bachmann Scenecraft figures are a little cheaper. As in 6 quality figures for around £4-£5. If you really want to go on a budget, modelscene do some reasonable figures at about £1 or £2 each. I personally use to Bachmann brand. Hope this helps.

Re: Oakbury - OO In me Shed!

Hi Lewis thanks for the comment. The trackplan no doubt will need describing briefly as it was made rather crudely on MS Paint in about 10 minutes. http://file042a.bebo.com/7/large/2008/10/27/16/4514914563a9261173125l.jpg This is just one section of the railway and will be around 9' in length. I wil...

Re: Fugloss cutting - Lmsrail's N gauge layout

This layout looks great. It has a real atmosphere to it. An idea might be to populate it, you know - add some figures around the layout and maybe the odd vehicle. Just little details like this can really bring a model to life. So far though, it's looking great. Keep it up.
