Re: LBSCR E4 'Birch Grove' Back In Service
Thanks for reply. Yes the Hornby E2 is similar, but smaller class. Actually as Iundetsand it the E2 was the basis for Reverend Awdry's Thomas character which started the famous railway stories off. Here is some poor footage on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry6ImLVZf3E Sadly, for some reaso...

LBSCR E4 'Birch Grove' Back In Service
After a two year overhaul, LBSCR E4 Radial Tank, B473 Birch Grove returned to service today, 30th January, on the Bluebell Railway. Looking resplendent in SR Green, not worn by this loco for over 80 years, she is here standing at Horsted Keynes after the re-dedication ceremony: http://i658.photobuck...

Re: Railway Modeller January 2010
So if a layout is just over 8' long and about 18" wide, would it scale down roughly to N gauge at 4' x 1'?

Railway Modeller January 2010
IN the current issue of RM, page 11 shows an intriguing little plan based on an industrial line in Sheppey, Kent. I was wondering what this would equate to in N Gauge size wise? Is there any easy formula to convert 00 plans to N gauge sizes? I have tried reproducing it in Xtracad but it simply drive...

Re: I was bored ! So..................
Very similar, I agree. It's the distinctive wrap around windows that struck me as the ER emu though, even when you had an all yellow frontage. Go Eastern and electric, you know it makes sense!

Just had a gander at your layout website as not seen it for a while and bloody hell!  It looks stunning, the level of build is superb and I am very impressed with your efforts, well done! :D When the Project Undercover is completed at Sheffield Park, I reckon you should put your name ...

Re: Horsted Keynes - East Ginstead, OO gauge
Just caught up on your layout again. Looking very good! There is a shot on your website of the Horsted Keynes looking toward the station from the bridge that looks very much like my desktop photo from the same perspective, so you have definitely got the look/feel right!
