Re: Class 08 Spare Parts

Thank you all for your responses. Once I have the model in my hand, I shall start with Bachmann I think. I think I may leave Brass master well alone for the time being

Electronic Coupler

Evening all, I'm thinking of through wiring a Bachmann 3 car 158 to power the lighting in the end cars from the DCC chip in the middle. I've been trying to find an electric coupling that would do the job but the only one I can find is a Roco one at £16 :O Does anyone have any other ways of coupling ...

Hey As I'm looking into this project myself, I must say that you've set the standards bar very high so well done :D If I can make one anywhere near as good then I'll be happy. Hey

As I'm looking into this project myself, I must say that you've set the standards bar very high so well done :D

If I can make one anywhere near as good then I'll be happy.

I don't suppose you would be willing to share the diagrams you used to gauge the size of the originals would you?

Thank you for the info guys although I'm not sure I made myself quite clear.

Hornby Mk4s: First Vs Standard

Morning all, Quick question: (I'm refering more specifically to Hornby East Coast Mk4s but any Mk4 will do). Is there any difference, model wise, between a standard class Mk4 and a first class Mk4? I know the numbers are different but I'm thinking that if I bought some first class Mk4s and renumbere...

MJT Dart Castings

Afternoon all. I’m currently converting an old Lima BR Mk2B into a barrier vehicle and I understand that it will need new roof vents on it. Now I know that MJT provide the vents but I have not a clue which ones would suit the model best. The barrier vehicle I’m trying to recreate is the one below an...
