Re: T.M.C. Horseboxes

The spring that centres the coupling on mine has broken, is it unique to the vehicle, or has anyone seen something similar before, thanks?

Re: Bachmann Class 25 DCC Fitted Query.

All,

I've been out of the modelling loop for a while, however, diving back in with gusto now!

Will my 03 allow me to fit the Sapphire?

Hi,

Thanks all!

Bachmann Class 25 DCC Fitted Query.

All, I bought a Sapphire Decoder to have a play with, and thought the easiest of my locos to use would be my Class 25, because it's so easy to open. But there's just a circuit board, with no chip, and it doesn't look like the installation instructions on the Bromsgrove Models website. Any ideas, tha...

Recent magazine scratch built oil/petrol tank?

All,

Recently, in either Model Rail or Hornby magazine, somebody had scratch built a raised oil or petol tank, made from lots of bits and bats, and I was wondering if it rings any dings with anyone here as to the mag and ish?

Coal conveyor thing?

Hi,

Is there an RTR or kit of a coal conveyor type thing available, they look like a small metal hopper on wheels, that lifts the coal into a wagon or tender?

Re: Question about removing ballast?

Soak it with water, preferably from a spray bottle. Another way I've found is to soak with Windolene as the alchohol in it penetrates quite well. Give it 15-20 minutes then lift up the point by sliding a flat-bladed tool such as a wallpaper stripper underneath. Take care though - the rails can easi...

Question about removing ballast?

Hi,

I'd like to replace a point that I did badly when I first started my railway, I know!

Is there a way to remove the ballast, which was fixed with PVA mix?

TY!

Re: Bachmann Class 03 DCC Fitted

Bizarre,

The same thing happened last week with mine. My mate has two, so I asked him to bring them in order to test his chip in my loco, but amazingly, neither of his two work either, on DCC!

Mike, what was the outcome of the decoder you purchased?
