Re: If you were a model railway manufacturer, what would you make?
I think there is two distinct areas to aim at, in my opinion high price items are not going to attract new blood into the hobby. I cannot afford to buy my Grandchildren train sets at current prices and they will grow out of Thomas going round and round on an oval. I understand the need for "co...

Re: Hornby in the news today
if there's some collusion between the manufacturers and the shops along the lines of "We'll do a big RRP and then you can heavily discount it to make it look like people are getting a bargain! It's a loss leader, a standard practice, you see it in supermarkets selling books, a new best seller ...

Missing trains can be a good thing, if I may quote Sartre (one of my favourite quotes): “What sort of adventures?' I asked him, astonished. ‘All sorts, Monsieur. Getting on the wrong train. Stopping in an unknown city. Losing your briefcase, being arrested by mistake, spending the night in prison. M...

It's a bespoke transporter for a giant sonic screwdriver being delivered to a Dr Who Theme park?
Though they won't be pleased the end has been bent!
All looking very interesting, looking forward to the big reveal.

it's kind of a single tree, even if not the explicit focus of the pic. I' ve always liked the shadows in this pic. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4761/25927321718_4e2925c278_z.jpg Well if this doesn't count as a single tree, the next pic should still be a single tree, otherwise how about something w...

Re: 00 Station lamps, seats, running in boards and whatnot
Hi These lamps were just Hornby ones: https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4744/39042679505_a78d7c0535_z.jpg The bench was a laser cut card kit, unfortunately I can't remember who makes them (they are readily available) The sign (intentionally blank) I scratchbuilt from thin card. It was just a small mode...
