I have used the Peco point rodding and it's a little fiddly to install but really improves a layout. Maybe plan out how you are going to install the rodding, where you need expansion joints etc. This can all be found online. Sounds similar to a Mainline Pannier tank with a split chassis >- all went well, then the wheels /gear went out of quarter and the decoder went up in smoke! - subsequently rusting away in a disused siding! Has anyone modelled the Woodham Brothers on Barry Island!

Nice pictures! The rails looks so much better - you could also blend in the colors with a very slight dusting with an airbrush (sleeper grime etc) The only problem I have had is removing the paint when cleaning the track! I think I am echoing other sentiments, but I really like the yard with all the vehicles and the sense of 'busy-ness' as it adds a different realistic dimension to the layout, Additionally, it comes together with the grimy brick colours as well rather than a pristine building. Great weathering!
