A layout based on a colliery classic layout but takes its name from a pit once owned by platt brothers of Oldham Lancashire the coliery site is within a stones throw of where i live so have always had a interest in it United Utility's still around a Million gallons of water a day out of the colliery...

00 gauge layout

Can anyone remember what the 00 gauge could of been p4 layout was called that was featured in railway modeller magazine years ago it was a suburban terminus with a small freight yard the station canopy was made out of the airfix kits and the model railway was based around the 50's 60's there was one...

Hi timbersurf At the point where the turntable is going it is around 40mm thick but the board is of wafer infill type same as internal wood doors hence why i dont want to start cutting to much out of it. It needs to be raised at least 35mm which will acomodate the turntable well. i've have a look at...

A quick update I've bought a few buildings for the layout that are more in keeping with the scenario. As a Motive power depot providing engines for the services from Mayfield station. As well as being a servicing point for engines coming off any rerouted trains. Hence the addition of a Ash Plant and...

It's about 2m 20cm long and 44cm at it's widest point.

Just a quick update as well I've bought a few replacement buildings for the layout today as well as making some track work changes.
