Re: The Coronation Sunday 6 July

All of the 'good' pics are now up on my Fotopic site.

It may be a while until I post the others, as it takes time to get perfection

Once I have finished editing my 'report', this will be added as the collection's commentary.

Such a shame, she was doing so well... How did I get a pic of the line up? I travelled on the train its...

Re: Hattons

Just a post to say how good Hattons have been with my last order. I ordered two Heljan Class 33's and a Bachmann decoder, then I was sent a summary email. Then I was sent an email saying my payment was accepted, and I received another email saying my order had been packed ready for shipping! All wit...

Re: Time to Tear It Up & Start Again ! New Steam Layout Pla

I used to have the Hornby turntable as well Gareth.

The motor was loud, and it did have a short delay before moving.

Re: A few pictures from the South

Some good shots there :D

If I am correct, the 158 unit is the First Great Western Brighton - Worcester Shrub Hill service. The units have recently been refurbished, so they are much cleaner and there are more seats :)

I'd much rather travel on them than the Southern 377's to be honest

A day at Hollycombe

Today I went along to the Hollycombe Steam Collection to see visiting engine 'Palmerston' from the Ffestiniog railway on the Quarry Railway. If you haven't been before, you MUST go. Steam driven fairground rides, three different railways and loads of traction engines make for a great day out. You ca...

Do you have any difficulties with stock and the curved platform?

I ask as I plan to do a preserved railway layout based on Lyme Regis...

The paint scheme on the station building leaves something to be desired

No doubt that Hibberd Planet did lead a hard life, indicated by the 'Yard No.' on the numberplate.

RH&DR Visit

Yesterday I had a cabride on the RH&DR on recently overhauled 'Hurricane'. I have uploaded my pictures from yesterday to my Fotopic site:

and I am about to upload a 7 minute long video of clips I took from the cab 8)
