Re: A Day at the Races
This looks really good - I especially like the last picture of the train climbing the bank out of the station. The factory building looks interesting - where is it from? Thanks to all. The building is a bachmann scenecraft "Oakhill brewery". I fancy the idea that the brewery has outgrown ...

Re: A Day at the Races
Just to be sure that I get notified of new posts (I'm looking forward to photos!) - let's "see" the results of such careful planning! Careful planning? Maybe when it comes to operation to make it entertaining for me (maybe not for rivet counters lol) but I can assure you i usually just th...

Re: A Day at the Races
Last nights update from Sunday Track down and a quick wire up resulted in a bit of a test run last night. All went much to plan and quite enjoyable the schedule seems? A couple of points dodgy (all re-used) so will look at replacing those if the rails are knackered then its wire up and scenery next....

A Day at the Races
It was a few years agao I tried 4mm rtr Uk stean sounds. It was Ok, but not as much fun as Diesel sounds at the time. When I say fun, I meant not as enjoyable as diesel sounds were to use. Steam was just not quite "right" to my ear and not as interesting to use in a 6 hour exhibition I rem...

Re: Rimenough MPD
Good performance by the layout at Thornbury Model railways clubs show over the weekend. All ran well (few operator problems lol) but the layout was again on top form. Lots of nice comments which ius always appreciated. Class 37 very popular again! Had a good time shunting round the depot with the 08...

Re: 00 Class 47's , which makers version has the edge & why?
The Heljan class 47 is a very poor model indeed. Its not just the width that is at issue, Next problem is the power consumption, the HJ 47 draws a rediculous amount of current, over 1 AMP running light engine and even higher when loaded which will trip out most train set controllers and really bogs...

Re: Exmoordown TMD - Modern 00
Very nice looking layout.
The depot buildings are very well done and I think for my next (Home) Depot layout I will be doing something simular.
Keep the pics coming.

Re: BACHMANN CLASS 66 FRONT LIGHTS
Do you mean only one is on? There is a switch under the body to turn the other one on. However, if you look at the real thing you will notice only light is on, its for day and night running. Thus, the model is correct.
