Re: Impulse buy

I found it a bit irresistable, even the rivet counters and the Heljan knockers have gone quiet on this one :)

Impulse buy

Having seen the pics of this rather splendid model I just couldn't resist. Now wish I hadn't as the last two weeks it's sat in the kitchen with it's box lid covering it up. Both my display cabinets are full so it's nowhere to go :( I could always buy another cabinet (most likely option) but then I m...

Re: Heljan commissioned to do O for Hattons.

In introducing RTR O gauge Heljan have opened up the O gauge market to many, self included. Yes they are expensive and in most cases not totally accurate, but have you seen the price of O gauge kits? bearing in mind you still have to build it, paint it and in most cases buy the motors and wheel sets...

Re: Must have one of these

6 years after starting this thread, I finally got me one. :D Been waiting a long time for one to come up at the right price and today it did. Helped tremendously by selling off most of my OO collection, thanks to all who've bought so far :) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b368/Citrail/DSCF2133_zps...

Re: Which midland Pullman ? Advice / opinion please

I think you'll find it's exactly the same as the last, maybe different running numbers, but this time it comes with seated figures for you to add, a book and a repro menu. But at least you'll get some kind of guarantee for your money.

Re: Midland Pullman coming soon

I recently found the receipt for my Nov 2012 purchase - £280. Bought when I was still in work, I still skipped a heartbeat. At c£500 now however..... And, ironically, I have only run it once since bought. Like my Rivarossi 'Big Boy', It's another one of those things that I really should sell on [bu...
