Re: Tyne and Wear Metro
Hi Martin, I eventually did go and see Dave Alexander and bought one of his models (must be in 2007 now), but unfortunately I haven't done much modelling recently so it is still in it's box. He did tell me that that was probably going to be the last lot that he would produce. Not sure if he is still...

Seen the steel coils in SPA open wagons at Rotherham, wonder if it is down to the type of steel being carried?

Think I can beat you all, 8 at Donny on a tactical movement! I think everyone dropped a brick when they saw it. Don't think I'll ever see one like that again:

Any ideas where the covered coil wagons were going?
Heard in the news there is a new coal flow down there which is using something very similar.

Re: some recent photos
So that's what the 37s were on. Saw them in the station and wondered what they were doing. Colton is a good place but hard to get to if you don't have a car. Good news is that I can bring mine down to Uni next week so hopefully lots of good pics to come. Ever been to north of York? Heard that Skelto...

Re: Macclesfield Station Photo ban?
It would be very impractical for everyone to inform them when and where they are going to take pictures, and I'm guessing that the station manager would have better things to do. Next time you are there take along a copy of the Network Rail guidelines and then ask to see the manager. Basically all i...

Re: Macclesfield Station Photo ban?
There has been a long running debate about this, several of the national magazines are trying to sort out the guidelines. Basically at Network Rail run stations, you are supposed to go and sign in, as per the rules on their website. However this is being quizzed as supposedly they cannot force you t...

Re: NXEC to Ban Trainspotters?
Utter *word censored*, no wonder National Express had to come up with that along with all the other crap they spout. Easy way around this is to get a ticket to a station not too far away, as some stations don't give out platform tickets anymore. If you have a valid ticket then there isn't much they ...

The one above the Advenza 57 is great, only thing is that planto to the right of the picture is annoying, but generally very good pics.

I thought WAG was a Welsh govt. aided train service, a subsidised working when Arriva wouldn't put it on normally.

Pity the UK government wouldn't do things like that for us in England.
