Re: O Gauge Wire Mesh Fencing

Rodent mesh looks interesting too. As noted the size of the wire might be an issue. I can feel a series of trials coming on to see how various suggestions 'work' in place on the layout.

Re: O Gauge Wire Mesh Fencing

The bottom photo looks promising - getting all the carpet off might be a tad time consuming. Goes off to lift corners of carpets 'just for a look'...

Re: O Gauge Wire Mesh Fencing

Thanks again for the replies - food for thought & search :-) The material suggestion is interesting - I need to look at net curtains perhaps! And a plough through the Scalelink site... Medical gauze has also been suggested.
Cheers!

Re: O Gauge Wire Mesh Fencing

Someone, LCUT?, does the concrete posts with the angled bit on the top, so guitar strings would do for the support wires and barbed wire is available for the angled strands at the top - the real problem is the mesh. I got some exquisite stuff from HobbyHolidays for walk-way g...

O Gauge Wire Mesh Fencing

Hi, does anyone know of a supplier of O gauge mesh/security fencing, the kind you get round a fuel depot. Or the bits to make such (the Woodland Scenics stuff is way to 'clunky').
Cheers

Re: Rivet Embossing Tool

Hi, just an update. Though the e-mail apparently bounced, it did in fact get read and replied too. Everyone has been very helpful and the tool is now on it's merry way :-) It's really nice that Metalsmith and MRC have gone the extra mile, well done.

Re: Rivet Embossing Tool

Unfortunately saw this reported a year ago, no communication possible with Midland Railway Centre. Thanks for that, it all seems a bit weird ;-) I'll keep searching industrial tool places, I'm sure small presses like this were all over the place back in the day (even if a bit of adaption is needed).

Rivet Embossing Tool

Hi, I hope this is the right place. Does anyone know if the Meatalsmith rivet embossing tool, specifically 7mm, or something like is available anywhere? The Midland Railway Center web site link to their shop doesn't work, and Metalsmith's e-mail is full (not accepting new messages). Got a Queen Mary...
