Re: Brexit Affects Model Prices

I too have stopped buying model rail items now as well, not eve bothering with Warley this year. I've gone from spending at least £1000 per year, to spending nothing now for at least 3 years, the cost is no longer justified. So, those saying the prices are now more realistic than they were in 2008, ...

Re: Warley 2014 Impressions

Hi All Went to Warley yesterday, and enjoyed it. Not over flowing on the bargain front, however more room to move than I've noticed in previous years, unless of course I was more pungent this year, ensuring a wide berth was maintained around me :-) Anyhow, the biggest problem I see with the layouts,...

Hi

I also have 2 of these, great runners, and as you're just DC the problem I had won't be as noticeable to you. Getting the relevant bodies off to put the chips in is a pig of a job !!, But yeah, they look good, passing each other on the main line :)

Replacing Scotsman Body with the one off the new magazine

Hi All I was going to ask this in the other post about this magazine, but alas, it's now locked. Anyhow, I have a railroad, (the original non dcc ready one) Flying Scotsman, but for some reason the tender is a different shade of green to the body. Anyhow, has anybody tried replacing the body of the ...

Re: Hornby Sales : Non UK members take note

Hi All I've posted numerous times on Hornby prices, quality, attitude toward their customers for at least 2 years now, and always get shouted down by the hornby rotweillers, telling me I've never had it so good etc, give them a break they've had supply issues, well I have, for well over 2 years now ...

Hi All

Don't use the NEC car park, use the train station car park, £5.00 parking for the day, don't have to be a rail traveller.

Re: Modelzone in administration

Hi All Looking a little bleaker for Modelzone, perhaps? Had to go to Merry Hill tonight, and the store there was just about starting a liquidation sale, so I ended up with the ModelZone exclusive RTC shunter, one I've had my eye on for a while, but hadn't bought, but I guess chances to buy it are di...

Re: Recent Hornby pricing ...what do you think?

Yes b308 "They are a Business, for Pete's sake!!!", however, they don't appear to be running it so well, over priced modeles, that aren't selling, because they are overpriced, supply issues, again, if running a business that relies on there being a good supply chain, then maintaining that ...

Re: Hornby Report Big Loss.

Hi All As I've said before, it's predominently the price of their products, that has stopped me buying their items, oh , that and their attitude towards collectors/enthusiasts, as in, they'll pay whatever we want them too, even in a recession, so arrogant. Yet, still they don't learn, look at the fi...

Re: Recent Hornby pricing ...what do you think?

Opportune time to bring up this topic once again in light of http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22810510 Yes they have suuply issues, but as I said, the more they price people out of the hobby the more they will lose. The main issue with Hornby the the way, or at least the I way perceive, their atti...
