Normal practice to rate a crane by its maximum, rather than what it can lift at the extremity.

If its flat bottom rail you're getting, I personally don't like using that for track, I find its larger profile more awkward to work with when filing down the crossing Vees etc, bullhead seems a lot easier to work with for me personally but keep at it and you can do it!
