Re: New layout
Every loco on my layout has a driver so if it doesn't come with one I fit one. (Hatton, Hornby, Dapol and Heljan). Just lately been repainting what Bachmann uses as a driver figure. Heres a few repaints so far. On the left in the 3rd pic is how they looked.

Re: gaugemaster track cleaner wagon
Hi people, so the final phase to modify the Gaugemaster HO track cleaning wagon to more of a OO look involved painting the roof black, painting an orange warning line around the top, painting under frame black, wheel hubs yellow and warning danger of shock decals. Seen here with Hornby wagons all fi...

gaugemaster track cleaner wagon
Hi people, so for those of us who have the very capable gaugemaster track cleaner wagon, thought you might like to see the small mod I did to to try and stop it looking like the HO wagon it is and look a little more like an OO one. Removed the body shell fitted a card "skirt" at the base o...

Re: New layout
So my 7x4 shed roundy roundy layout which I call Torridon Rd, as well as being my first attempt at ballasting, has now had its scenic work done, again my first time at doing this. I can now enjoy my trains running round and now look forward to picking up the small bits and bobs to add to the scene. ...

Re: New layout
Not so much a new layout now as its been down for over a year now and because it runs so well I finally got round to ballast. This was my first ever go at ballasting but if I say so myself I'm very happy with the result. I can now get on with the ground scatter and grasses https://live.staticflickr....

Re: End of train lamp
Hi b308 Yes double heading didn't think of that but I wouldn't anyway because the lamp is there, instead I like this together with another 66 together (running light I think is it called) seen plenty of vids showing that and makes a nice train setup on my layout

End of train lamp
So what do you do if you have a "non working" loco? So had enough spare bits and pieces to put a class 66 together but with no motor and no decoder fitted and of corse no lights. So I removed the worm gears from the two bogie towers so the wheels can turn and best of all used the existing ...
