Re: Linka

Hello all
The good people at Scalescenes have a number of half price moulds up for auction on ebay at the moment. If you type in OO gauge moulds you will find them. They still have a couple of days to run.

Hi dursleydog
It's amazing the effect a few structures make, they start to pull the layout together and help to create that 3rd dimension. Looking good.

Re: St. Blazey's - My first layout - Stage 3 Building

Hello End2
That stack would be an interesting build a lot of different planes. I think I would have to mock a card one up first to get a feel for it and then break it down into its component pieces.

Re: UK or Bust 2020

I think that you will have to have a definite itinerary and don't forget to allow yourselves some time just to relax. Travelling around can wear you down. I think that all of us on here will have a different set of must sees. There is only the one transport museum in London and that is the London Tr...

Hello End2
Your Inn is starting to look enticing. I trust there will be a suitable array of ales and single malts available too.

Re: St. Blazey's - My first layout - Stage 3 Building

Hello End2 This Inn is looking really good. Is the bar and floor more coffee stirrers ? It's exciting to see the way that we are both using Linka at the moment. Exploring what we can produce and how versatile it really is as a system. I am looking forward to see how you apply the rendering and the r...

Re: Wall ties / pattress's for scratchbuilding

Hello all I agree with Bufferstop these are quite common on older buildings, although not widely used now. In the last 30 years that I have been working in the architectural restoration / conservation field I have used these only on one occasion. That being on an area of Most Wall that I had rebuilt...

Re: New / Old - Little Weldon

Hello all
Food for thought here gentlemen. I'm not sure how ethical punching holes through a Medieval Castle wall is. But as Little Weldon's Castle is a modern plaster folly it would not be a decision that would enrage anybody. I think that photo of Conway is interesting.
