Re: Very simple question,

Gorilla wood glue is just as quick to dry on card, has the same adhesion when used in spots or very fine lines and dries clear. apart from CA glue and glue stick, It is the go to glue for me. I can get loads of refills for the price of one rocket glue. A top tip, argent, thank you. I've got some Go...

Re: Lybster Station.

Re: Wandle Park

This map shows where my fictional station fits into the real world. The passenger service on this line only consisted of 2 coach EMU's shuttling between West Croydon and Wimbledon, but freight traffic was very heavy serving many industries along the line. Originally single track throughout it's leng...

That canal shot is superb. I love the planks and stuff in the water, very realistic.

Re: Very simple question,

I always use Roket card glue with a fine tip applicator. It sets very fast which can be an issue but it does create an excellent strong bond.

Re: what do you hope to achieve from your model railway?

has been a long, and at times frustrating, learning curve, but it all feels worth it I totally agree with that. I think the main skill that I've learnt is patience. I used to do things in a rush just to get stuff finished, with predictable results..now I just plod along and projects take as long as...

Re: Wandle Park

Thanks for the nice comments. Bufferstop, I did try printing the backscene parts on photo paper but it didn't look right at all - far to shiney. Your right about the flatness of the card helping to blend the layout into the backscene. It hadn't even crossed my mind until I started building the layou...

Re: Wandle Park

I have this bad habit of jumping from one job to another, so even though the platform is still unfinished and the retaining wall is still missing it's coping stones, I've started building the bridge that will form the fiddle-yard entry point at the 'Wimbledon' end of the layout. And some bushes have...

They look like spuds to me. Great idea using seeds.
