Imitation concrete base

I'm planning on making a couple of imitation concrete bases for a couple of lineside huts I have. I'm going to build the bases frame with matchsticks and then fill it with all purpose filler is this OK to use or should I be using something else. :D

Road surface

Hi need some help on a road I am building alongside side a cliff face. The road will run along side a cliff face on each side and eventually leading to a coal depot and hut. What surface is best to use for this as I want it to look rough. Any advice will be welcomed. :D

Re: Track weathering

Thanks TimberSurf and b308 for replying to my question its going to be a shunting layout and based around the late BR 0.6.0 417 steam loco so I would imagine the gravel areas will be quite dirty. :D

Track weathering

Hi need some advice when I come to weather my track so they look rusty along the sides is this best done after ballasting or before also I will be using a tiny paint brush as I don't use air brushes can you recommended what rust coloured paint to buy as I would presume it needs to be acrylic. :D

loco sheds

Hi I'm trying to source what loco sheds would have looked like to house the BR 0-6-0T 'Departmental No.14' J50 Class - Late BR engine where they made from stone or red bricks. :)

Re: Wagon type

Thanks for all the info regarding what duties this engine carried and it gives me a lot of scope to what wagons and carts to purchase. Then of course I with be dabbling in weathering of these loco's and wagons. :)
