I'm looking forward to seeing the results of that water... I've got plans for a river and some sea with waves - eventually!

Re: Plans for the new loft...
As I alluded to in my previous post on my in construction thread, I have been playing with station and yard designs on the back of getting hold of new books about the DN&S railway. It would appear that my plans for the yard are nothing like real life... ACTUAL https://apel2q.dm2301.livefilestore...

Hello All, Not a huge amount of progress to report. I've been spending more time on paperwork and planning than building in the existing loft... I did get a set of three dapol 20t tank kits which I am building at the moment - experimenting with painting techniques and stuff. https://befona.dm2301.li...

Re: Returning to model railway and saying hello
Hi and Welcome.
I too am returning after many years away (like 25 or so).

Good luck for the development of your layout, always plenty of help on here...

Re: Elliston - loft layout
Thought: what if you had 12' of main scenic board on one side, inside the rafters, with the other side plain track and a couple of long storage loops (holding two trains each) *beyond* the rafters? I really like that idea - filed away for the future! There are lots of folk on here who manage to get...

Re: 2-2-Toot Scenic Adventure
Very much along the same lines as mine that I posted on page 3 of this thread I can see that now! it was Bufferstop's "lid off" photo that really cleared things up for me, up to that image I'd not been able to find anything that showed me the connections I needed inside for the thing to w...

Re: Not Sure if this counts as planning or under contruction...
I think you're very brave putting a good chunk of effort into something that you'll probably have to relocate. However you'll no doubt put a lot of skills to the test & will be able to apply the things you learned when you do it all over again. Water leaks - that's rotten luck. Onwards & up...

Can't wait to see the finished, weathered versions.
