Re: Weathering Services
I have also used TMC for weathered items bought from their online store but found it can be hit and miss the quality. I have light weathered carriages that look no different from a heavily weathered loco. For light weathering job OK =but for anything else I would prefer go elsewhere.

Weathering Services
If you get it done, where? I was sending my stock to www.theweatheringworks.co.uk (Scott Illingworth) but he doesnt seem to be answering communications anymore. I have now made a query with www.gclocoweathering.co.uk but they have waiting list of 8-10 weeks and have booked a slot with them. Regards,...

Some Great Ideas
This month there was some great ideas for layouts/branch line terminus available. March edition of The Hornby magazine had 9 micro layouts and Model Rail had 22 real life brach line locations. Several I really liked and are similar to what I have had in mind, I'd say that any of these can be easily ...

Re: Should Peco adopt the new Unifrog design for all points?
Well it depends, how much the new unifrog would be and how easy it would be to change it from insul to electro when it is in situ in your layout.

Online Retailers of European Models
Can anyone recommend sellers of European steam locomotive models? I have come across a couple and like looking at the European models, just wondering if the members here have their own bookmarked favorite sellers?
Thanks

DJ Models Class J94 0-6-0
Got this during the week and spent yesterday running it in, not a boad looking model but a couple of things are distracting me, firstly its a noisey runner compared to any other model I have (Have read similiar gripes online), second it has a tendancy to derail on points (possibly sympomatic of my t...

Re: 1361 class
I got my 1361 yesterday, spent the day just slow running it in, I have a Lenz decoder installed. First impressions, I really like it, this is my first Heljan modela and the smooth quiet running is so different to anything else I have. Nice detailing and a heavy sturdy loco. I'm now very tempted to g...

Flex Track Question
All
What's the smallest radius the flex track can do? I presume 1st radius?
How much did people here use it in their layouts?
Regards,
Mark

Re: How To Model Sugar Beet
I'm not sure I've ever seen sugar beat in the flesh. How big is it? They look like the size of turnips from that photo. If they are that large the only thing I can think, off the top of my head, is modelling them out of Fimo to get that shape. Laborious but maybe worth the effort. Paul They are abo...

How To Model Sugar Beet
As a kid back in Ireland I always remember very well the goods yard behind my house would have wagons full of sugar beet during sugar beet harvest. I was thinking that having several wagons with a load resembling sugar beet would be a nice reminder to myself. Any ideas what I could use as a replica ...

Re: 1361 class
I have ordered my loco today, looking forward to it's arrival next week. I had already ordered online but did did a good close up look at this and other Heljan small locos today at the Southampton fair. They were all good looking models.
