Re: "Hall" and "Castle" TTS
The Hornby TTS Castle/King decoder will be totally fine for a Hall, thanks to the synchronisation of the exhaust beat being way out.

Re: "Hall" and "Castle" TTS
Given that the exhaust beat on the TTS decoders are way out of sync, slower than they should be, using the Castle one on a Hall would be perfectly acceptable. GWR whistles are mostly all the same.

Re: Hogwarts Castle Spares or Conversion
It was never called Hogwarts Castle in the books. It was simply the Hogwarts Express. The Hogwarts Castle name was a creation for the films. Done since they saw the Olton Hall nameplate and decided the loco needed one. Hogwarts Hall had no meaning since there was no hall at Hogwarts with that name s...

Re: Hornby 2018 Range
I won the 2017 Hornby catalogue on the bay this week. As it's halfway through the year I got it brand new for the princely sum of £1.99. At thier usual prices Jadlam can afford it though. Thanks End2end If you bought it from Jadlam you'll be lucky to ever receive it. Have heard bad things abo...

Re: Hogwarts Castle Spares or Conversion
Hornbys original model of Hogwarts Castle was indeed the old Dapol Castle Class model. Now since they released a new Hall class, R3169 is the correct Olton Hall in red livery.

Re: Unrebuilt bulleid poor haulage ability
I removed several of the weights out of the new Pullman coaches and glued them onto the inside of the casing on my Air Smoothed(the correct term for them, not unrebuilt!) WC class locos. Worked great and there was room for 2 on each side. Managed a 13 coach train of the new Pullmans after that.

Regardless of what shops are currently selling the loco for, prices are set by full RRP.

Re: Hornby A4
A pretty good guideline is any A4 with a product code R2338 and above is the newer super detailed model.

Re: Hornby R3336 'Flying Scotsman' NRM 2015 Rededication
Well since it hasn't reappeared in Apple green yet it would represent the loco in 2004. I doubt there will be any difference between R3336 and R2441

Re: Teak coach defect
I'd say more likely the packaging is too tight. I don't imagine that Hornby would use a glue that actually melts their products together.
