Further to this thread, what have been members' experiences with rebuilt Merchant R2204. Is the can motor any good and is the trailing truck assembly free or fixed?

Nice to see everything beginning to come together. Should you want to make more structures using card, I can recommend Daler mountboard. Also 2mm thick, it comes in plain white and a variety of colours in sizes ranging from A3 up to A2, available from artists'/handicrafts shops.

If it's any help, the Lima small prairie is a good puller - the ones I have tested on the level and a reasonable slope can start a 16oz load from rest. Watch the bids on ebay for an idea of the price.
