Hi, thanks for reply. What do you use then to stick the clear plastic bases to a platform, for example? Brgds

Any suggestions for removing e...

Paint for platforms

Hi, just created a number of platforms using PECO/WILLS and KESTREL (GAUGEMASTER) kits. The latter one is dark grey so purchased some Humbrol matt light grey paint (no 64) but it has come out glossy! Did I do something wrong? Can anyone advise which are the best paints for painting platforms. Thks

Re: Attaching backscenes to hardboard

I used ID backscenes (Llanberis}. Used a small paintbrush to put the adhesive onto the hardboard and stuck 6 inches down first to get it straight and then a foot at a time, smoothing it down using an old hankie! Had used PVA previously and it was a nightmare.

Attaching backscenes to hardboard

At long last I have found the best way to attach backscenes to hardboard. Had to redo them after using PVA glue which created loads of problems. Used this time Solvite Ready Mixed Wallpaper Adhesive and it has worked perfectly. You can adjust them slowly if you need to and it has dried out nicely . ...

I have put on the 10 foot ( 2 sections of 5 feet) backscene which I purchased from Model Scenic Supplies (Llanb...

Re: Simple horseshoe layout

Would it be easier if I went N gauge rather than 00 gauge as my 6 feet x 4 feet is a fixed baseboard on legs and is restricted space-wise.

Digital point clips

Hi, on my DCC layout I am finding that the Hornby digital point clips are becoming loose and coming away from the track. Am I missing something as I am fitting them as I think they should go. Is there an alternative to these? I have 4 sets of points and I am controlling them manually by using the Pe...
