Re: Wagon storage

I believe you can still get them via Modellers Mecca. I bought mine off of ebay but they are from Modellor's Mecca's account there. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114785661247?hash=item1ab9c2313f:g:F6oAAOSwPVde82wJ&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwMIx3an111MLNSmFz1FprYCmacsxfFfyzw9%2BfWOztAEbCsvqq7BriiYuRLOZn...

Re: Wagon storage

I'm with Geoff T on this one. Rolling stock in Bachmann Collectors Club storage boxes. My locos are in A4 plastic boxes my wife used to get from her workplace, The company used to have their A4 business paper delivered in them. I then bought the foam inlays. Each box can hold 3 tender locos. Unfortu...

ANYBODY ELSE GO TO WARLEY?

I went on Sunday. Thankfully the Northampton to Birmingham service ran as normal. I arrived at about 10.30 and the Hall seemed almost empty. It did start to fill up after 11 though. Something I did notice was that there seemed to be a lot of open space between the Traders Stands and Layouts. As usua...

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

I've just checked the price of the Dapol DCC track cleaner. Under £100. Perhaps people are buying that instead of the more expensive CMX cleaner. I like the amount of greenery in the pictures. The mixed depths, colours and textures. And the "lots of rolling stock" picture. :D Thanks End2e...

Warley's getting closer.

Just under a fortnight to the return of the Warley show. Got both my ticket and train ticket for Sunday. Next day they announced a new rail strike on the Saturday which could effect services on Sunday. So it looks like turn up at Northampton station and get on the first train to Birmingham Internati...

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

Hi guys. I'm still here. Not much progress on either layout since last time I'm afraid. I got the CMX track cleaner and the Heljan DPU out over the weekend (pictures below). I've had mine for a few years now and just out of interest I've just looked up the current price of one on ebay. £200.47p for ...

The yard at PETERSDALE looks busy but there's not a loco to be seen. I guess there must be an ASLEF drivers strike.

Re: ROBINSON ROAD GOODS DEPOT - Layout No.2

Well after quite a few months on pre-order and a 10% price rise my green Bachmann 08 arrived at the weekend. I think I need to get some track laid LOL. The warehouse roof/canopies are finished, they just need glazing, weathering and I'm going to fit some LEDs behind the valences (which I also need t...

Re: The EWR.

Very nice. Coal mines need two separate shafts to let the air flow through so placing a smaller shaft somewhere will make it look real. Paint one on the backscenes if needed. That will do the job! . A few coal mines worked with one shaft being ventilated through underground connections to a nearby ...

Re: ROBINSON ROAD GOODS DEPOT - Layout No.2

Progress at last. The warehouse fronts are now in their permanent positions. The card framework I was going to mount the warehouse fronts on were to thin, so I widened it with some balsa wood to give an increased surface area to glue onto. It was a very fiddly job as nothing was absolutely square an...
