Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

I made it to the Great Electric Train Show on Sunday at Milton Keynes. Another good exhibition with a good variety of layouts in various scales etc. Pretty comfortable all afternoon with plenty of room to move about and see the layouts. I was there from 1.30 to 4. There were quite a few large layout...

Train Truckers

Anyboby watching Train Truckers on Yesterday channel? I've been recording them and watching them later. Seems like each programme is the same format only with a different loco and destination. I'm loving the 'What if ' computer generated accidents though, especially when the Tamping Machine ended up...

Re: Gateside and Northbridge

Track plan looks good. Got PETERSDALE track plan from Mr Freezer's book.
I will follow with interest. Your build will remind me of building my layout shed and PETERSDALE no doubt.
Good luck with it.

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

Hi Brighton. The locos were safely delivered to TMC last week when we were up at Goathland on holiday. I resisted the temptation to buy anything while I was in the shop thank god. The guy did show me 2 Ivatt 2-6-2s to show me the difference. They were the same Bachmann models. I think the vaue weath...

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

Hi Brighton. I bought the 8F ready weathered from Grimy Times. I've had quite a few locos weathered by TMC in the past. If you look back through the PETERSDALE thread there are pictures of them all. TMC weathering starts off at £20 for what's called value weathering, then there's a light, medium and...

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

Well looks like summer is over. Pity as we are off to Goathland for a week tomorrow. It's my birthday present from my wife. I don't know if she does some research picking these places or it's coincidence. Last year it was Blue Anchor in Somerset and the West Somerset Railway Gala weekend. This year ...

Re: HERITAGE RAILWAYS IN THE 70s/80s

Last line to be photographed The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. This is the last 'set' of recently found prints of Heritage Railways in the 70s/80s. After this I must have got a decent camera and switched to taking slides (I know where those are LOL). Good old kodachrome. KEIGHLEY img174 - Copy....

HERITAGE RAILWAYS IN THE 70s/80s

Again these are prints I've recently found that I thought were lost years ago. Starting with 3 pictures of the STRILING SINGLE on the GCR at ROTHLEY (Quality a bit iffy) There's no dates on the backs of the photos so I can't date them exactly. img157 - Copy.jpg img158 - Copy.jpg img159 - Copy.jpg Mo...
