Just a thought!

With the current situation we find ourselves I wondered if any of you guys had any thoughts on whether we'll see any model railway exhibitions in the rest of 2020? What with the current spate of abandoning football and cricket fixtures do we think that the larger shows like Warley and Peterborough w...

Re: On the Border Counties Railway

We stayed in the Ticket Office of Falstone Station a couple of years ago. You could just see part of the Kielder Dam. The station is more or less complete along with the signal box. Unfortunately they've built 2 semi detached bungalows in a gap on the platform. There's a Facebook group for the Borde...

Re: Hattons/Bachmann

Stock from another retailer the likely explanation. I would ask Hattons if the product is covered by Bachmann's warranty. (Not that this would remotely put me off, if they had something useful at a good price, I have had no trouble with Bachmann's product). Hattons aren't shown as a Bachmann retail...

Hattons/Bachmann

Just had this week's newsletter from Hattons with all the newly arrived stock.
I was surprised to see new stock from Bachmann.
Steam, diesel and DMUs. Coaches, wagons etc.etc.
Have they kissed and made up?

Goo Gone

Hi guys. Hope everybody is safe and well and enjoying some modelling time during the lockdown. A couple of weeks ago I posted a thread about Shapeways Couplings and possibly having a permanent coupled rake of full coal wagons and also a rake of empties as well on PETERSDALE. On reading more about th...

Re: The ideal hobby

Given the exterior of the Layout Shed a couple of coats of wood preservative. It's looking rather good if I say so myself. Garden fencing also received some of the same. But today it's raining so it's track maintenance day. Got the CMX out and did a couple of return trips up and down the branch (not...

Funnily enough there's an advert at the bottom of this page at the moment for IPA @ £9.99 for 100ml.

SHAPEWAYS COUPLINGS

Hi guys, I hope everybody is safe and well out there in the current situation. I was wondering if anyone as used the above couplings? They're called NEM OO gauge straight 3 link couplings. (They also do other types of couplings as well). I'd describe then as drawbar type couplings for permanent rake...

Re: BARGAINS!

K1 arrived from Rails of Sheffield this morning. Just ran it up and down the layout a few times. It runs very well and is a nice looking model. I'm very pleased with it. I'm even more pleased now I've just noticed on Instagram that Hattons have it at a 'bargain' price of £99 which is £10 more than ...
