Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

What can I say? My favourite layout is going to be no more. My favourite thread hopefully will survive. Jim, please produce a few more of your excellent videos so we have a full picture of this excellent layout to look back on. It feels like PETERSDALE'S bigger brother has just left home for good. S...

Re: Rowenwood

Dammit, had to bin the station and start again. Tested the gauging of it with my 9F and some mark ones and all was well, but my 08 shutter fouls on the platform! Attempts to trim it down just ruined the edges of it and it looked scrappy. Had to buy another one, with lesson well and truly learnt to ...

Re: The Great Model Railway Challenge

Hello all This program is tv Marmite, love it or hate it. Series 2 is due to start airing on 30th August. Please not Tim Shaw again. That guy is annoying beyond belief. James Richardson is not as bad but he's got no knowledge of the subject and should stick to Italian football. I went to the Silver...

Re: Bachmann no longer list Hattons as a stockist

Just had a look at the Hattons website. All items that were flagged up as 'pre-order' have disappeared from the Bachmann current stock pages. Bachmann as also been removed from the list of manufacturers on the future releases notification page. However there's no statement anywhere on the website ab...

Re: Oh woe is me! My B1 waddles

I had a similar problem with a Bachmann Standard Tender Engine I was given years ago. There's a local guy who does servicing/repairs in his spare time so I had a word with him about it. It's quite a few years ago but I do remember him mentioning bearings and the loco wasn't worth repairing. I think ...

Theft at GC Model Event

I paid my annual visit to the GC Model Event today (Saturday). Not long after I got there I was hanging my ear on a conversation the guy stood next to me was having with one of the traders (Digitrains). Turns out that an opportunist theif (theives?) Had entered the main marquee sometime during Frida...

Your layout's got a really nice 'railway in the landscape' feel to it Josh.
Looks very realistic. Nice work.

Re: The story of PETERSDALE my OO gauge Branch Line layout

Loving the photos. It looks like you had an enjoyable running session. I find the scenery for Petersdale so well thought out, especially liking the road servicing the far side of the station with the mound in between. Hi Josh. Thanks for the comments. With reference to the scenery on PETERSDALE aft...

Re: Halt station diorama

It's a good way to start before committing to a larger project.
Gives you the opportunity to use all the skills required on a smaller scale.
Looks an interesting project.
I will follow with interest.
