Re: Hornby 4mt shorting out

I’ve just had a very quick look at the loco again and I think that there might be a break in the wiring from the tender, need to have a proper look under a better light but if so I assume I can get a replacement lead from somewhere.

Hornby 4mt shorting out

Hi all I have a Hornby 4MT which about 12 months old and has a DCC decoder. Today it was running tender first from a siding and the tender jumped the points causing the controller to shut off. Re: Hornby Sovereign and Signature Collections

Re: Rails website issue

Have you tried another browser such as Firefox or another search engine such as bing? I’ve found on a couple of sites recently (non railway) that google would not let me go in although my antivirus said it was a safe site!

Re: Financial Woes Continue

Wonder how profitable thomas has been for Hornby? There is also the question of how many have started with Thomas and then moved on to other Hornby products?

Re: Problems with Hornby coupling rods.

Thanks all, that’s really helpful, will source the suggested nut driver and also the loctite threadlocker and hopefully that will do the trick, sounds like I will also have to incorporate a nut tightness check with my maintenance routine. :)

Problems with Hornby coupling rods.

I'm putting up this message to see if anybody else has had the same problem. Twice now in the last 12 months I have had the bolt that holds the coupling rod to the driving wheel, in this case the rear one, become detached with the result that the unattached end of the coupling rod dropping down. The...

I also subscribe to Hornby magazine, wonder if they will offer a special price to get the 2017 catalogue?
