LNERs BR blue HST

We went to see this train leaving Leeds station, heading to Kings cross. I wanted to get a close up of it sat in the station, but I had my son with me, who suffers with autism and doesn’t cope well with crowds of people, so we got situated where it wasn’t as busy and waited, we did get to see a doub...

Re: Backscene blending success

I've not bothered with one, as I wasn't sure I could achieve a good effect, but you have got me thinking about them now.

Re: m.levin's layout thread

Use the DB150 as a master and zepthyr as a slave unit, DB150 has higher current output.
You can still program with the zepthyr when set up as a slave.
Of give me your DB150 for free!!

Re: m.levin's layout thread

Can you fix it? I will have a go, I want to upgrade anyway, so got the push to start saving the pennies. I can send it off for repair at about £40 or $76 aus dollars, but not really worth it, as it’s was sent off for repair 18mths ago, with the same fault. Yes I have asked and repairs only have 90 ...

Re: m.levin's layout thread

I had a frustrating day in the loft yesterday. Started with one of my class 158 loosing drive on one of the boogies, a full strip down and sorted. Then usual running season issues, then POP! The controller detected a short, started the fault finding process and found the fault was within the control...

Re: Roundabout metering using the FALLER car system

I have an electro magnet that is built in to the road, to stop the vehicles. Which will, at some point be connected to the traffic lights. Just working out how to get the vehicles to speed up as they approach an amber light!

Massively! I gutted the whole loft and started again, fitted a window, plastered and rewired, that’s before the new layout.

Re: m.levin's layout thread

I’ve had a go at static grass today, in the past I have used an old talc bottle, as a primitive applicator. It worked well but arms ached with squeegeeing the bottle over a small area. So I have had a go at building my own static applicator, to save my arm for moments of self abuse!! ;) I’m very ple...

Re: Fading motor...

You can pick up a new motor from Peter spares. If you want to stay with the older locos, I would also Youtube how to recondition/service the locos and X04 motor on Youtube, then have a go at servicing/res-erecting the burnt out motor. you can buy the parts you may also need from peter spares or Ebay...
