Re: m.levin's layout thread

Thanks Geoff

I’m the opposite, I like to sit and watch the trains. Unlike today, chasing the derailments!

Re: m.levin's layout thread

During this lock down, like most I have got a load done. I have put a video on YouTube, but some photos below. My trains are running all automated now and I’m still working on the electronics. Got a new controller and so much more to get done. https://flic.kr/p/2iTKvWs https://flic.kr/p/2iTKvWs http...

I’m a good friend of Andy.
He is still about and still modelling, but he has been doing a lot to his rolling stock.

LNERs BR blue HST

We went to see this train leaving Leeds station, heading to Kings cross. I wanted to get a close up of it sat in the station, but I had my son with me, who suffers with autism and doesn’t cope well with crowds of people, so we got situated where it wasn’t as busy and waited, we did get to see a doub...

I've not bothered with one, as I wasn't sure I could achieve a good effect, but you have got me thinking about them now.

Re: m.levin's layout thread

Use the DB150 as a master and zepthyr as a slave unit, DB150 has higher current output.
You can still program with the zepthyr when set up as a slave.
Of give me your DB150 for free!!

Re: m.levin's layout thread

Can you fix it? I will have a go, I want to upgrade anyway, so got the push to start saving the pennies. I can send it off for repair at about £40 or $76 aus dollars, but not really worth it, as it’s was sent off for repair 18mths ago, with the same fault. Yes I have asked and repairs only have 90 ...

Re: m.levin's layout thread

I had a frustrating day in the loft yesterday. Started with one of my class 158 loosing drive on one of the boogies, a full strip down and sorted. Then usual running season issues, then POP! The controller detected a short, started the fault finding process and found the fault was within the control...

Re: Roundabout metering using the FALLER car system

I have an electro magnet that is built in to the road, to stop the vehicles. Which will, at some point be connected to the traffic lights. Just working out how to get the vehicles to speed up as they approach an amber light!
