Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Thanks for that TimberSurf, my excuse for the plastic coal in the 9F is: I have only just bought it and it has to go for a weathering job and real coal is added in with the price. Well that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it  Think that boom may be overkill, I have trouble swinging cats in the ...

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

One final video, well for this week anyway :D Thought I would do a slow pan around the layout to show all the areas maybe not seen before with a glimpse inside the goods depot and engine shed. I haven't mastered the art of passing the camera from one hand to the other seamlessly, so a few shakes her...

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Thanks for your comments Glencairn and TimberSurf, the fireman leaning out just sums up steam engines passing by in the sixties for me. Joshv8; There is a track plan somewhere in my thread, but this is a better one I think, it's more or less correct apart from one or two buildings. millsend track pl...

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Thought I'd share another short video (2 mins).

I let the Jubilees stretch their legs today, also found the volume adjustment on
the camera, hidden away where no one could find it

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Thanks everyone for your positive comments, they really are appreciated. This is a short video showing another recent purchase, (arrived today :) ). A Bachmann 9f fitted with Zimo sound and a sugar cube speaker, all fitted into the loco body, no wires connecting loco to tender for the speaker like m...

Re: Edgware GN,

Manna, your scratch building of locos is simply amazing.

I wouldn't know where to start, I'll just stick to buildings :D

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Hi TimberSurf.

I bought an AEE Digicam, it is just a cheapie, it will do until I get the feel for it.

Like most things in life 'you get what you pay for'

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Thought I would upload a short video, using a new camera.

The picture quality is far better than the last effort, but,
I can't seem to increase the sound. It might be going back if
I can't get the volume cracked.

Here it is anyway, just humour me

Re: Millsend Layout - OO Gauge Sixties Midland

Thanks TimberSurf and Glencairn.

Joshv8; Thanks for your comments also, the buffer stops are the Peco railbuilt ones, with the lamps picked out in white.
haha the sand pouring out, pinched that idea from another layout I saw at an exhibition.

Re: 8x4 roundy round

I have just read through your whole thread and have to say I am very impressed with the laser cutting you have done. The shops especially are looking great and I am now eagerly following their progress. The layout looks good too, I guess your son will love it. I think I was 5 when my dad built me a ...
