Re: NRM 2017 00 'Tour' STARTED
My full apologies for dropping out and not responding. Family illnesses raised their ugly heads late last year and the beginning of this one culminating in a couple of sad losses so modelling activity has been zero for a few months now. Hoping things are better going forward. Again my apologies Matt C

Re: Why Not Plan A Fun 0-16.5 Budget Layout?
I've got ETNA, JUNO, ZEUS, ODIN and the rail car NG de layout Drome? Should be good fun to build. Negotiations were hard and space grudgingly given so dont want to push my luck  I'm sure a close eye will be kept and regular measurements taken to make sure no extra space is taken 8) But actuall...

Re: Why Not Plan A Fun 0-16.5 Budget Layout?
Hopefully getting something along these lines up and running over the winter. It gets a bit Baltic out in the workshop where the OO layout SHOULD be progressing  so SWMBO has signed off on a small plank in the dining room running along on top of some low drawer units so will have about 8' by a...

Re: Wobbly Bachmann Wagons
Don't forget to think outside the box. Take an old wagon past its best with good wheels and a newer wagon with crappy wheels, swap them over. If like me you have a fair amount of old stock (wagons and coaches) with rubbish wheels you can still use them on the layout. Find an area on your layout that...

Re: Budgetbrooke
Thanks Geoff, I don't mind doing it . I think what Photobroket did was wrong and it's nice in some small way to be able to thumb a nose at them ? I think the thing I seam to be able to do, is identify the Blocked Image in situ so this does make the job much easier Point me to a post and I'll start i...

Re: Hello - I've been inspired!
Welcome aboard! As Dad1 said maybe worth while starting something small to keep your interest up and help decide what it is you actually want from a loft layout before spending large sums. Why not incorporate one of your dioramas into a plank so you can get some track down and do a bit of shunting. ...

3-7-Photo0174.jpg This is the missing Image from page 3 post 10. . . you will see a place holder in italics at the bottom of the post where it goes . If you want to put it in place I suggest you move it to Flikr or some other hoster if you have one (Not Photobroket as they Brokit in the first place...

Re: Shall I swap scale/gauge to 0-16.5?
Hi There, I'm slipping down the O 16.5 slope as well :D I've been picking up bits and pieces through the year so I can start putting something together this winter when the workshop is Baltic and work on the OO layout stops. The Mrs went madd last Christmas when I suggested she buy me a smallbrooke ...

Re: Budgetbrooke
John That's very kind and I would be happy to go forward with it if Nick wants me to. It would certainly be the speediest option for myself and would save having to either download, save and then email Photos around so a third party can update the thread. My intention would be to log in, capture each...

Re: Pitfalls of buying sight unseen
Hehehe think we've done this one to death so I think we should agree that we agree to differ ! btw Thanks GWR for flagging it up in the first place as I assume anyone reading this will eather be asking questions of Hattons about non runners (Although will they bother to investigate and answer ? Or j...
