Re: Model shop in Hexham northumberland

Thanks for the heads up tt. I've just ordered a dapol class 66 in n gauge off tynedale trains and seems like a very good price. The bloke said he is opening a shop somewhere around Hexham in the summer. Just hope it happens soon cause miss town foot models. No problem. They seem to have some decent...

Model shop in Hexham northumberland

Is there a demand for a model railway shop in and around Hexham in northumberland? Since town foot models closed the closest shop is 40 mins or so away. What does anybody think?

Re: Stay alive lights

Thanks for all the excellent replies. I've reverse engineered a small circuit board from express models and so far so good in a hornby 67. It uses 6 resistors 4 diodes and 2 capacitors.
Next I'm going to add directional lighting to the 67 so it will have directional stay alive lights on dc.

Bachmann class 57 problem

I have just came into possession of a bachmann class 57 which runs great as would be expected. Only problem is the lights don't work which is a problem as I often run my layout in the dark. Has anybody seen this problem before? Or is it a return to bachmann job?

Re: Stay alive lights

I picked up a capacitor from maplins for 58p so I'll put it inline between power and led resistor on my hornby 67 and see what results I get.

Stay alive lights

I'm currently run 00 on dc and seen express models do a stay alive kit so your loco lights stay on while a train is stopped for 2 mins or so. At around £20 it would cost me over £350 to do all my stock. Is there a way to wire in a capacitor inline from the power to the the led lights in loco to do t...
