Re: Birmingham New Street and Brettell Road in P4
Thanks for the reply Jim.
You've certainly done an excellent job. A viewer would never have known that it previously had horizontal bars.
Thanks

Re: Hattons closing down
After a slew of emails from Hattons in the run up to Christmas, this is rather surprising news.
A great shame.

Re: Birmingham New Street and Brettell Road in P4
On the sides for the D2103 12t van, how did you manage / what did you use to remove the horizontal bars please Jim?
They are unnoticeable on the finished model.
Thanks

Re: St. Blazey's - My first layout - Stage 3 Building
Still not much going on a St. Blazey's due to my trapped nerve. I managed to paint the platforms I've created so far in a black wash to get into all the nooks and crannies but that's all really. The whole track needs cleaning again as nothing will run properly but that means standing for a long peri...

Re: Lighting help for oo gauge….
It may be worth having a few separate lighting circuits with their own switches rather than having them all on one circuit This is what I have done. I actually have 2 x 12v bus's. One for the rear of the layout and one for the front. I also have remote control inline dimmers so I can dim the...

Re: Lighting help for oo gauge….
I don't use grain of wheat bulbs so.... 12v power source, 2 wires under the layout for everything to connect to (lighting Bus), LED's, 1K Ohm resister on the positive leg of EACH LED. You may want to try using a higher rated resistor to reduce the LEDs more if they are too bright. Simple and easy. :...

Re: St. Blazey's - My first layout - Stage 3 Building
Still suffering from a trapped nerve so I can't stand / walk for long at the moment. Regardless of the pain and also taking the opportunity as and when it arises weather wise, I managed to get a lot of spray undercoating done this week. Both platforms excluding the end ramps of which I need to cast ...

Re: NO-OX-ID A-Special / INOX for better conductivity
Just to reiterate, this is NOT for track cleaning. It's to go on clean track for better conductivity. Rather than regurgitate the content of the videos may I ask, if you have the time, to watch the 3 videos on the product and how to use it, to see a users perspective. They are very informative. Than...

NO-OX-ID A-Special / INOX for better conductivity
Has anyone tried using NO-OX-ID A-Special or INOX for better conductivity? I have come across some videos mentioning it's use over something like IPA. The wax like version looks good and easy to apply. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vTI6avmYtw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dy_lWcxwYyo https://ww...
