I'd wait for someone more knowledgeable on the subject but I think you need to feed the CDU with more than 15V. 19V was recommended to me.
Lower power + bigger capacitors will make them take longer to charge.
Thanks

Re: St. Blazey's Works and Depot
Never mind about the manual for the decoder. It's part of the packaging.
And indeed the purple can be used for the 4th light.
Thanks

Re: St. Blazey's Works and Depot
Looking at my DCC Concepts Z360 decoder last night I noticed another PURPLE wire. Is this the 4th lighting wire? I can't seem to find the manual / instructions for the Z360 online as it's been superseded by the ZEN Black. It's not the 2 wires for the stay alive. That I'm sure of. Also does anyone kn...

I'm picking up where I left off on DCCing my Intercity project. - https://www.newrailwaymodellers.co.uk/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=51555&hilit=intercity&start=60#p654234 - and still have a few questions about wiring the replacement head/tail light and cab light circuit boards. As both c...

Re: Databases of Photos of Prototypes
Hi LickeyInclined and welcome to the Forum. :) I think it's a great idea too. I have purchased a few books for the 'withered arm' of the GWR area, specifically for china clay rolling stock photo's and they are very few and far between. Although there are some publications I'd still like to peruse, I...

Re: Better glue for Model Power houses
I've built several Model Power kits using Revell Contacta Professional glue . As far as I'm aware they are "normal" plastic, although I suppose the formula may be slightly different in different countries. A word of caution using the Revell glue. If you add too much you'll melt plastic. I...

P.S. I have replied, so I can have the honour of the 1000'th post in this thread 8) Indeed you can PNP. Have I done so much and asked so many questions? Like a heritage line, it's a long pleasurable journey even if I do stop at every halt, branch line, and termini. (I model slowly...

Thanks and most definitely PNP. If you look at the front view you can see people sitting in the front room.

Not sure if it's any help but these are warm white LED's each with a 1K resistor lighting the building.

Re: St. Blazey's - My first layout - Stage 3 Building
Some final pictures of the cottage kit build. This the lighting wiring hot glued down (all has now been painted over with black - not shown) Internal6sm.jpg With all the lights on. The base is not sitting exactly flat in the picture so you can see some light leakage from the bottom of the building a...

I'm not sure but I think technically, it depends on the operating system.

Re: New starter Layout 00 Gauge
Just mentally playing trains on Mountain's layout version, (I hope you don't mind the edits Mountain ;) ) there is one other thing I've noticed. No opposing points. Inner loop to 2nd ok and 2nd loop to outer loop ok but no way, unless you reverse, to go from outermost loop to inner loop. I wonder if...

Re: New starter Layout 00 Gauge
I'd consider moving the set of points (in red) over to the right (in blue) so rolling stock moving out of the engine shed sidings can enter / exit from / to the 2nd outer loop without having to go all the way around the innermost loop. tp myth.jpg Also, instead of using curved points you could add s...
