Is that good? :D
It certainly is!

Not so much cutting the mustard as taking a whacking great chainsaw to it! Marvellous :)

Had to pick up my jaw off the floor - that unit is absolute mustard!

Re: My sons under bed OO gauge layout.

Forgot to mention, the Thomas, Percy and Edward are my 3 y/o’s, the pannier tank is my 7 y/o’s as he can along to the shop and was desperate for an engine of his own. My 3 y/o also now wants Tornado as it’s his favourite engine, and probably the engine he’s seen most as it’s currently residing loca...

Re: New Layout, The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Railway

Ooh excellent! I’m also crafting a fictitious line in the area (imagining the Stour Town branch was extended beyond the canal wharf and on to Wombourne via Ashwood and Summerhill)

Like what I’m seeing here!

Re: Acton North (N)

You say that but there’s a town north of LA called Acton! Not near a beach though  I always marvel at the space N gives you, but in some ways I’m equally daunted by it - I already try and do too much in OO - if you gave me this space for N I’d be trying to build whole railways...! Don’t think I...

Re: Underhill

I’ve been following this one but not commented before - a quiet Saturday morning of trawling down this sub forum has brought my attention back to it. I somehow missed the cattle dock though - I too am a serial buyer of Metcalfe’s products. I absolutely love the roof ridge tile idea - I build in bric...

Re: UppyDownyRoundyRoundyRailway

Really enjoyed catching up with this one - and compliments on a beautiful little cat, too - I note it was oblivious to the fact it had plonked itself on a mainline! I have the same issue!

Wow, the depth of your scenery is brilliant. I love the occasional buildings dotted through the landscape.

Re: St Ann's Bridge

Summer has been magic so far - I've hardly gone in the spare room... But inspired by micro layouts I've seen recently, I decided to measure up for a very small part of the back corner of my modular layout... The board I've featured so far isn't quite finished, but I'm loathe to lay down the track at...

Re: Birmingham New Street and Brettell Road in P4

Much to enjoy since my last whirl around NRM - the black and white shot of the Jinty is *surely* real - it’s outstanding. Your post from June 30th where you outline some little tweaks is most inspiring - as an aspiring modeller still pretty new to the game, it gets the juices flowing to see such att...

Spent every spare minute over the last few days perusing this thread from top to bottom. The way you turn clean to grimy, dirty and atmospheric is most agreeable.

Bookmarked for future posts (and to nick some ideas!)

Re: St Ann's Bridge

A very productive weekend - the school wall/fence combo had been causing me loads of grief and in hindsight I think it was too much of a tedious task to really commit oneself too for relatively little gain (although I'm pleased with how they turned out). So finishing that off allows me to move on to...

Re: St Ann's Bridge

Thanks Pete,

You’re absolutely right and I did indeed browse that website, but I’m terribly lax at carrying through my plans unless circumstance is in my favour such as it actually being in front of me! As it was today!

Re: St Ann's Bridge

Thanks! You're very kind. I went to Ally Pally today - thought it was an improvement on last year, with some really great layouts. I finally found a solution to my iron fencing issues, via a German HO fence set (which also contained a picket fence for the station master's garden)! I also bought some...

Re: St Ann's Bridge

Ha! Quite right! People are way beyond me right now... although I’ll be at Ally Pally this coming weekend looking into the serious detail, I think. There’s not much more to do fundamentally on this board. So far I’ve got: Arch businesses (add 2 more] Fencing for school and stationmaster’s house Ball...
