Something with white in it. A train passing incredibly close to an intensely whit shop at Whitecroft on the DFR.
Back to easier things - a train crossing a level crossing with gates.

Re: ParkeNd's Autumn Competition attempt - Railway Cottages
I really don't think you should compare your buildings to mass produced items - after all yours are meticulous replicas of real buildings in an area you know well, and as such they will mean more to you than any resin casting ever could. As long as you have enjoyed making the model and it is to the...

Re: ParkeNd's Autumn Competition attempt - Railway Cottages
You certainly couldn't afford to sell the completed article for £30 though. I don't know about that... A quick Ebay search reveals that the a cottage from the Hornby Liddle End range is currently for sale (BIN) for £44.50 - the quality of your model is probably comparable, if not better. I see this...

Re: ParkeNd's Autumn Competition attempt - Railway Cottages
I have a couple more photos to post showing the "new" against the "replaced" and these still need to be taken. In the meantime I have worked out the costs. At £30.47, of which about £12 is etched windows and doors, it cost more than a Metcalfe card kit for example. But it does lo...

Re: An SNCF Roundhouse & probably a load more!
I agree with PNP about the more permanent railway room. We tend to "live" in our house nowadays rather than maintain it at Show Home standard for other people - as we once did. With 4 bedrooms and just 2 people one room had become a storage room - redecorated and cleared out this is now th...

This sign is the right proportions and would need to have been at right angles to the entrance ?

I especially like Photo 3 for the brick effect - Plastikard brick is awful by comparison yet Plastikard stone is brilliant. Brick plastikard can look great too, you just need to take your time and jot expect it to look right after just slapping some brick coloured paint on-------------------- N gau...

You're being too modest. Ever since being at Rolls Royce and Bosch I really like well crafted quality work. Great photo above too.

Also like the sloping bay window in Photo 1 - looks a bit French. Only kidding.

Good for serial layout builders - but not my cup of tea - but will appeal to plenty of others I'm sure.

As I have posted on the other duplicate thread - I think this will turn out to be a worthy winner - quite superb.
